A huge list of rule outs...don't think I've seen one this long ever...in my limited experience!!

Thank you, Roselover!

How about:

Sarah Tokier
http://www.missingkids.com/missingk...seNum=1154470&orgPrefix=NCMC&searchLang=en_US

What do you guys think? She isn't listed on the rule outs for the TN UID.
Have you already looked at Tokier here? If so, I missed it or have forgotten.

IMO, the artist that did the drawing of the UID went out of their way to show the high, sharp cheekbones, the round area at the chin and the little tiny bulbous part on the tip of her nose.

CarlK, if you think they resemble each other would you mind doing the movie of the overlay to compare bone structure that I have seen you do before?

Missing in CA and showing up 11 years later in TN is a super long shot, I know.
Because they don't seem to know when, exactly, Tokier went missing I am left wondering if she even lived at home with a family.

A nice lady on FB posted Tokier's pic and info and I immediately thought of this TN Doe. I told the lady on FB to go ahead and turn it in if she wanted to but I don't know if she has yet. I think we are both waiting to see what you think, CarlK.

Thanks much, truly.

The overlay only works if their heads are oriented the same way. The recon of Shotgun Jane is a quarter-view, and Sara's photo is straight-on.

As for Sara being Shotgun Jane, I do see the resemblance. But there are a lot of physical characteristics that don't appear to tie-in. There is the medical hardware in the legs that is not mentioned, and the prior childbirth that is not mentioned.

It could be that ST had those characteristics but they weren't mentioned, or it could be that the injuries and childbirth occurred in the years after her disappearance. There isn't alot of info on Sara Tokier. But nevertheless, it just seems too unlikely to me.

Thanks Carl, truly.

Yeah, 11 years is a long time to be "out there" roaming around but not if she didn't have any family to report back to. I wish there were more on Tokier.

Thanks again! :)

She looks like Kim Marie Larrow, who went missing from Canton, MI in 1981 at age 15. Chronic runaway who once traveled to Florida and back. Mother said ran with a tough crowd, seen in company of older man at ice cream parlor before disappearing while visiting her mother for the summer.

At the time she first ran off to Florida, there wouldn't have been a #32 on the roster, so if she got the shirt in Florida, she'd have had to have gone there again before ending up in TN. Shotgun Jane Doe's hair is listed as brown, though the reconstruction photo seems to show red highlights. Kim Marie's hair is listed as blonde, though her photo shows a reddish color. Kim's eye color was blue or green, but we don't know what Shotgun JD's was, so . . .

If she managed to stay alive for that long, she would have been in the age range for Shotgun Jane Doe. The resemblance that I see is mostly in the eyebrows and nose, as reconstructed, and possibly the hair color.

Never mind. I guess CODIS has both on file. The Kim Marie's mother is reported to have been reluctant to turn over DNA, but other family did. If she's ever found, she'll likely be found closer to home.

I dunno, she looks pretty promising to me. It might be worth submitting anyway in case they want to double check to make sure it's not a false negative.

Going to add this in case its of use to anyone now. I'm not sure if I ever posted about her skull after the gal replied to me; my computer time is up. It really sucks that they've been so careless with this gals remains. IIRC there are also no finger prints. edit Fingerprints PDF file
Apparently her face was just reconstructed right before this post was originally made
blog? It says: Jul. 25th, 2008 at 11:58 PM I put her skull back together last Wednesday.
Re: Jane Doe 607UFTN
I don't know that I have much to add, I only saw her skull while I was in a forensic anthropology training session at the University of Tennessee. She wasn't literally shot point-blank straight on, IIRC the entry wound was towards the left side of her head as if she had started to turn away from the shotgun. The skull was pretty well shattered, as you would expect from such a close-range shotgun wound. Aside from that, I don't know much more about the case than what has already been listed on the Doe Network. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, I'd like to see this case solved and give her a name just as much as all of you.

I don't know if the shirt is of any use to you guys.

Dolphin stats
Miami Dolphins Jersey #32
32 - Benny Malone (1974-8)
32 - Tom Vigorito (1981-5)

My hubby is into the Dolphins, I mentioned these 2 names to him, he's never heard of either of the 2 guys I posted. I'll have to see if I can dig up more when he gets back. IMO, the Jersey will probably identify a few possible states she's been in. My hubby says #32 is one of the Running back's, so I'd have to see if I could figure out which one was notable enough for a shirt.

It's very hard to find Dolphin's stuff where I'm at. My guess would be that back in the late 80's you'd have to be in one of the Southern states to buy one unless the Phins were playing in another state.
The guy got back to me about trying to date the shirt:
Hi Rose,
There really is no good way of telling from looking at the shirt as there was no Dolphins logo (changed in the 70s) on the shirt.

This was the answer I received about #32 on the shirt. I'm going to see if this person can date it=
The following is a list of players that wore number 32 for the Dolphins in at least one regular season snap:
Joe Auer (1966-67); Hubert Ginn (1970-73); Benny Malone (1974-78); Tom Vigorito (1981-85); Donald Brown (1986); *Pete Roth (1987); Garrett Limbrick (1990); Bruce Alexander (1992-93); Aaron Craver (1994); Cleveland Gary (1994); Jerris McPhail (1996-97); J.J. Johnson (1999-01); Charlie Rogers (2003); Jamar Martin (2004); Jason Allen (2006-)
Miami did make it to the Super Bowl in 1983 and 1985; against the Redskins in 83 and 49'ers in 1985. Maybe shirts were easier to come by those years??
I put the two pictures together and aged them for the same look. Also, reading on another thread said to look at them upside down for a unbiased opinion.
The chin is almost identical and the features are close. Hope this helps

That's pretty cool I'll have to remember that.
She looks like my hubs adopted niece; not sure why it never hit me until seeing the pic upside down.

I'd love to be able to make an info post somewhere so that we can go back over the post & take the posts with info from the shirt; maps we've done & whatever else to be able to reference it without having to dig back through the pages.

news story
Shotgun female
Around 2:30 a.m. June 1, 1987, a 12-gauge shotgun slug blew through the front door of a North Knox County home, ripping the face off a woman raising a ruckus on the porch. Knox County Sheriff’s Office authorities speculated at the time that the unidentified woman and two male accomplices were attempting to trick and rob the resident on Jim Sterchi Road by faking a fight outside her front door. The woman kicked the door, awakening the resident and a visitor. The resident called police and fired one shot from a shotgun when the woman attempted to open a screen door.

The two men were caught. But they were unable to identify the woman. They said they had picked her up at a Greene County rest stop just before the shooting. Jantz, of the UT Forensic Anthropology Center, said she and her colleagues dubbed the dead woman “Shotgun Female.” The case is archived in Sheriff’s Office records, and spokeswoman Martha Dooley said the department follows up on all leads on the woman’s identity.
A UT forensic anthropology student generated a computer reconstruction of the woman in the early 1990s.

Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that the Miami Dolphins jersey did not belong to the Jane Doe. She borrowed it from the males who picked her up at the rest-stop.

Tokier was submitted by the owner of the MP page on Facebook that I saw and commented on Tokier looking like Shotgun Jane Doe. :) I am not sure who she contacted but I can find out if you guys want to know...?

ETA: It was NamUs.

Little Lulu,
Thank you so very much.
That's great!

Would you mind posting those images on the Fb page created for Shotgun Doe?

I used both images , using Sarah's on the bottom with Jane Doe on top as a transparency, the features are close, even if the angles are different.

This photo is Sarah progressed to 50

Hi all sorry I haven't been around recently but I have seen everyone posting and it's so great to see shotgun jane getting the attention she deserved.

If anyone would like to submit potential matches, I liaise directly with the cold case investigator assigned to her case so I am happy to pass things on. Last time I spoke to her we were both stuck with how to proceed so it is good to see more people commenting and investigating.

I can tell you that her picture recon's are spot on! It frustrates me that someone out there has to know who she is!

Thinking of you shotgun jane.
