So...do we know how this whole pickup thing worked? Obviously, ET was inside waiting, since she left the bag there and someone put it outside (according to some sources anyway). Does she just sit at a table, bag in hand, not ordering anything? Did she have something to drink while waiting alone? Does he join her for breakfast? Does he text her and say, "Hey, I'm here. Let's go." How long was she there before he showed up? Was she actually hanging out with a friend who worked at Shoney's (who maybe drove her there), and then he showed up, she rushed out and forgot the bag? Maybe the friend was the one who set the bag outside?

(Just brainstorming. But I think I got closer to the truth the longer I rambled. I dunno.)

I think a lot of the issues at that school and this situation is because the wife has an administrative job at that school too.

I am real curious how that is going since he left her. The other people at the school are probably feeling so sorry for the wife and they cant openly blame her husband in front of her so they pick the next thing to blame as they talk to the wife.

It is the perfect storm because they both worked there.
This is why lots of companies dont like employees dating each other because it causes issues.

I think the fact that the wife worked there too plays a big part in the schools reaction. Which is really sad for the child because she had no advocate for her there at that school.

Once they are married its different and can work out but in this case it is the center of all the issues.

I read the first letter and am so happy that the father sensed the danger and tried to prevent it.

Unfortunately it sounds like the school did next to nothing at first. Whatever they did was too little and much too late.

And most likely the school let the fact that the wife was working there influence why they did not do much to him.

Kat, this makes me so MAD! Your sister was a little girl! I have a 14 year old stepdaughter down the hall from me that I just put to bed. This man is a MONSTER.

I understand WSers wanting your dad to take your sisters out of that school, but your dad works, from what I understand. Those girls have a right to a public education in a safe school. None of us wants to sends our kids to a school where this happens. I really have a mind to call the school myself tomorrow so that they know the world is watching. I'm a former teacher, and I cannot believe the way the school is responding.

I'm very angry at the school staff and faculty. I really think every one of the faculty and staff from the top administrator down to the environmental tech who supports TC needs to be fired. They have brainwashed the students and created a hostile environment for ET, making it impossible for her to return once she is released from TC's grasp, and a hostile environment for the girl who reported "the kiss." :sick:

This is also paving the way for future abuse of students, and will ensure that students are too intimidated to report abuse. Leaders in the community need to step forward and attempt to reverse the pervasive mindset at the school and in the community. I haven't watched the pressers. Has the mayor addressed the situation?

ETA: Wanted to add that the pervasive mindset of the faculty and staff makes school a very hostile environment for ET's siblings, also.

Right they really didn't do what they should have. I went through his CV and previous employment references and they did a background for abuse, etc. All that showed an employee any school would love to have.

That's why I wonder about him and his own thoughts. He either hid things so well that it would be so hard to believe he would do something like this or was able to convince people of it.

Regardless, in these situations, schools must lean to the side of protecting the child.

She was dropped off at 8 and picked up about 8:35am per shell camera footage.

Yes even the kids were hostile to that child and one even texted her and blamed her for them leaving after TC took ET, according to the reporters mom.

Just chiming in. My son attends a university that has a forensics club (speech and debate) and a forensics society (for students majoring in forensic science). My son is in the latter.

Outside temp was 80 degrees
Everyone was wearing shorts, tank tops, etc.
We were heading to Louisiana from Houston. We stopped in Baytown,TX for gas.
While in the store I saw this man walk in from the LEFT side entrance. The moment I laid eyes on him my stomach felt as though someone punched me.
(I instantly thought ... that's him! That's the guy that kidnaped the 15 year old girl)
As he walked in he never looked around. Keeping his focus on the bathroom. All I could think of was getting in a position to take a picture and follow him out to see what he was driving.
He did not shop around. He entered the restroom and exited about 2 minutes later.
He kept the same focus, same pace as when he entered. As he exited the restroom I believe we made eye contact, (through his glasses) my body language was as though I had just seen a ghost. I could tell he was aware I was looking at him and had an uneasy feeling. He never showed any emotion. (Never said excuse me while walking through people etc)
He continued to the exit. He looked to the left at the exit and saw a fully dressed security guard in uniform. He then walked out of the RIGHT side exit. He walked around the vehicles in the parking lot to get to his vehicle at the gas pump.
As we were walking to our vehicle he was pulling away from the pump. I didn't realize it was him until he was passing us because he had already changed his clothes!
He was wearing an Olive green crew neck t-shirt and those same sunglasses. He was driving a van/bus/camper. It was black or Dark Grey and had a Louisiana plate on it. One you can live in that doesn't have any windows.
I immediately contacted TBI, 911, FBI etc.
It may just be a coincidence but let me point a few things out:
-Beanie Hat in 80 degree weather
-A military style outfit that doesn't match in color and looks homemade.
-sunglasses
-never purchased a thing or even looked around for that matter
-driving a camper/bus/van
-undressed and removed his top shirt and beanie the moment he got in his vehicle
-very obvious detour away from the security guard

I'm sharing in hopes of getting your honest thoughts and opinions. What are the possibilities that he looks like this now?

I am hoping his wife works in another building so she and ET's siblings do not come into contact with each other. It would be a terrible idea for her to be in the building when people who may have to testify, etc., see her every day.

The more we learn about this case and what went down at that school the more upsetting this has become and the more concerned I am for Elizabeths safety and wellbeing.

Gosh I wish LE would arrest him tonight and save her.
She needs to go to a warm safe place away from that monster.

Close but the most recent picture of him shopping in Walmart his face and body is much fuller.

It's been two weeks, if he has lost weight at all, many times it shows on your face first. Men lose weight quickly.

How in the world could any 911 be that way? That part is supposed to be nationwide. Did you also let TBI know that 911 wasn't helpful?

I agree but believe he will have lost a good bit of weight by now. I also believe he was growing his beard and putting on weight to change his appearance after he kidnapped her. I believe that could have been part of his very well thought out plan

My heart was pounding out of my chest. I said "tad Cummins.... I'm 80% sure I've just seen him in Baytown. She transferred me and the person that answered in Baytown said "where is your emergency." I said "it was at bucees in Baytown but he left. She said okay is there anything else I can help you with!
