But thats the point. The 15 year olds I know are unsure, self absorbed, tempermental,still learning to deal with their emotions, fragile egos even the the boys i know. They're kids thats why they still live at home. They still need guidance and to be cared for.

Child violence seems more common in blended or separating families. I just find such situations very very sad for all concerned, but i don't feel enraged.
Some situations seem preventable, if the parents would pay as much attention and care for their kids emotional well being as much as their own.

"The case stirred up support from all over the country from people who said he did not have anything to do with his sister's assault".

So, I 'Googled' the name 'James Prindle', and did some reading. I am stunned and amazed at the support he is getting.

Groups of adults who write and visit him while he is incarcerated, who claim James is being "railroaded", that there is some big cover-up with law enforcement, who ridicule his parents for showing more support to their daughter (the toddler who was raped) than their perp son, "the real victim".

One of the blogs showcased James' own statement, "in his own words", of what happened that day, which to me seemed implausible and and an obvious lie.

James' own 'statement', written to the author of the blog, describes that afternoon: James trading his X-Box for a handgun, illegally taking the drug Xanax with his friends, waiting for a drug dealer to arrive at the apartment, having one of the many young male friends he claims were at the apartment give his baby sister a bath, James toweling her off after her bath and noticing "blood on her vagina" and immediately telling his friends to call the police because she raped (even though he claims he wasn't there when it could have happened, yet instantly knows it was rape, instead of some other injury).

Prior to the police arriving, James and his friend decide to say the baby sister was raped during a 'home invasion'. They blew it when the friend said the intruder was a white man, while James insisted the intruder was a black man. < snicker - seriously?!!! >

James' little five year old brother witnessed the rape and video testified that James was one of the two rapists. So these adult supporters of James are verbally attacking James mother, and her ex-husband saying the five year old was 'coached' to lie and wrongfully accuse James.

It is also written that James was recently attacked in jail, after other inmates clogged some toilets with paper, and were angered when James immediately set to cleaning up the mess, "because of James' strong work ethic".

I seriously hope he is never allowed to see his sister ever again! I can't believe he has supporters! What about his poor little sister? She didn't have any support from anyone the night she was raped! I wish they would try him as an adult and lock him up so he can't ever hurt anyone else again.

I agree, and the more I read, the more I believe this young man is a text-book case of a lying, manipulative, conscience-free, self-serving sociopath. Look at all the damage he has already caused by the age of fifteen.

I think he is relishing his newly found role as the 'victim', along with the attention he is receiving from his supporters.

My sympathies lie with the true victims.... the baby sister who was raped, and the little five-year-old brother who had to witness it.

James can spend the rest of his life in prison, where he belongs.

I have no words for James' supporters, who I am sure will make his life during incarceration as comfy as possible. No words that won't get me a time-out here, at least.

wow. I had no idea of the scope of discussion out there on this boys case. I just saw the headline of the verdict and thought I'd see if there was already a thread here. Reading about the testimony of the victims condition when she was examined at the hospital is excruciating.

I'm also buttoning my lip because everything I want to say is a huge MODSNIP waiting to happen!

Ugh, seriously regretting even clicking this story. I have a brother around the age of the oldest boy, and if he ever did something like this my mom would probably be behind bars for murdering him. I'm sickened, but sadly, not shocked. With drugs and sexual fascination and group mentality combined it really doesn't surprise me that kids nowadays are capable of the things we read about. What I don't understand, and perhaps I missed something, is why the two younger boys are not in trouble? And some may take this the wrong way, but I don't think these monsters should be allowed to ever integrate with our society. We need a gitmo bay for sickos like this, regardless of age. I don't want them to even mingle with "normal" prisoners. Isolation on an island far, far away is much more appropriate...no letters from home or visitors. No tv. at one point on the blog it states that he has some medical issues due to too much TV, junk food and bad parenting. @@ depression, adhd and borderline personality dissorder...

These are the folks that are running the blog. They appear to be pushing for a spiritual awakening for youthful offenders rather than court ordered justice.

I dont find the blog credible as it applies to this case. This baby was raped on his watch and he lied repeatedly about what had occurred. He knows it happened and he knows how it happened. So do his friends. Lying over and over about it would indicate he knew what happened and that it was wrong, Lying repeatedly would lead me to believe that he knows what the truth is, since he knows what the truth isnt.

I dont know that he should have been charged as an adult, however. If as a 15 year old, he was hanging around with kids as young as his friends, well he might have been pretty immature to begin with.
