I wonder; has there ever been a documented case of a teenaged pedophile gang-rapist who received some counseling and got probation and never did anything like that again?

Ima bet there's not. You can't fix <modsnip> evil.

Is there any case in history? I'd love to know too, strangely there' s no info or documentary on it.
I have a feeling they don't get better or "cured" but, only get worse with age.

I am extremely sceptical regarding the blog, fwiw. I dont think I will take their word for the events of that day. I do believe he bore the responsibility for what happened to his sister. Whether or not he was charged appropriately might be open for debate, I guess.

ok, i found the blog that is in support of this rapist....im still reading it, but in shock that there is support for him....

at one point on the blog it states that he has some medical issues due to too much TV, junk food and bad parenting. @@ depression, adhd and borderline personality dissorder...

while that may be true - too much TV, eats nothing but crap and his parents suck - the way it is written is to cause sympathy for him....poor little guy ate to many twinkies while watching spongebob marathons while his parents didnt parent....then the possible aspergers is thrown in.

and his story that he wrote to whomever is pathetic and so phony bologna....

These are the folks that are running the blog. They appear to be pushing for a spiritual awakening for youthful offenders rather than court ordered justice.

I dont find the blog credible as it applies to this case. This baby was raped on his watch and he lied repeatedly about what had occurred. He knows it happened and he knows how it happened. So do his friends. Lying over and over about it would indicate he knew what happened and that it was wrong, Lying repeatedly would lead me to believe that he knows what the truth is, since he knows what the truth isnt.

I dont know that he should have been charged as an adult, however. If as a 15 year old, he was hanging around with kids as young as his friends, well he might have been pretty immature to begin with.

Seems to me, the legal concept of "acting in concert" might apply here... but I speak from a North Carolina law angle (I am not an attorney, just a trial-watcher and a WS'er...)

Watching Prindle in court during his sentencing hearing you'd never know he's facing decades in prison. Unlike when he was on trial in which he rarely looked up, Prindle was laughing and joking with Sheriff's deputies, and even offered to handcuff himself to his chair.

The judge is receiving letters requesting leniency. Wonder where those are being generated from.

People are asking the Judge to keep Prindle out of prison. They want him to be sent to a Boys Town in Nebraska.

As Prindle's attorney points out, the crime occurred in Tennessee. Prindle is not going to be shipped to Boys Town in Nebraska to serve out his sentence.

I hope the Wandervogeldiary folks read the article I linked. Even Prindle's attorney states that the unsolicited letters are causing concern for the judge.

In other words, they may be hurting Prindle's cause, not helping it. Perhaps, and I am speculating, there is a fanatic tone to them.

Jury trial, June 2012, sentenced to 22 yrs, no parole. Appellate opinion,Feb 2014, summary:

" A jury convicted James Prindle (“the Defendant”) of aggravated sexual battery, aggravated child abuse, aggravated child neglect, and filing a false offense report. After a sentencing hearing, the trial court ordered the Defendant to serve an effective term of twenty-two years’ incarceration. In this direct appeal, the Defendant contends that (1) the trial court erred in admitting certain evidence; (2) the trial court’s jury charge was erroneous; (3) the evidence was not sufficient to support his convictions; (4) the trial court should have remanded the case to juvenile court; and (5) his sentence is excessive. Upon our thorough review of the record and applicable law, we reverse the Defendant’s conviction of aggravated child neglect for lack of sufficient evidence. We affirm the remaining judgments of the trial court."

interesting. i found one of their facebook pages. pictures posted of stuff to make "sizzurp" made infamous by justin bieber...along with DRUGS and alcohol. they should have been locked up....there is probably no hope for them.
