This child looks like a miniature Tom Cruise. People who think that Katie is somehow going to produce a DNA test proving otherwise are deluding themselves. From the reports she is planning to ask for child support. So certainly she isn't going to argue someone else is the father.
 
I also believed this is TC's child. I do not care in what way Suri was conceived (old fashioned way or technological assistance). I think Suri is literally the spitting image of Katie, but as both parents are dark haired and share similar (to my eye) features themselves I can see where others find Suri to be the spitting image of Tom.

I don't really think a paternity test is going to be an issue.

Precisely. I do think she looks a lot like Tommy Davis. It just hit me.

However, Tommy Davis and TC look a lot alike as well. And I agree that Suri is a good blend of her parents.

I just had this odd feeling, although I'm sure it's not true. I can't imagine Katie being involved in something like that, especially before marriage, although I could see fanatic and leader of the celeb center, TD donating his sperm. Also, he's a seaorg member and I don't think they are allowed to have their own kids. Sperm donation is something else though.

Of course not. And I do agree she looks a heck of a lot like her dad. Same face. But, apparently I'm not the only one who has noticed the strong resemblance to Tommy Davis. I googled and similar comments are all over the internet.

It's strange to me but I'm sure it's just a coincidence.


ETA: I don't think there's anything evil or sinister about Suri's little face. She's just a sweet child. Although I do note that in photos in the last two years, she is rarely smiling and looks unhappy much of the time.
 
Hope this doesn't double post; I had a hiccup.

I read Paulette Cooper's book The Scandal of Scientology when I was about 9 years old. It was a book on the family shelves. Cooper is still in hiding because after she wrote the book Scientology tried to destroy her. That is what they do to anyone who speaks out against them or tries to blow (leave) the organization. Katie is going up against a monster.
 
Tom Cruise has a huge ego. The only way he would let someone else donate sperm instead of using his super sperm is if he were sterile. And NK supposedly had a miscarriage meaning he isn't sterile.

I do see what you have noticed. I have never seen Suri in jeans either but don't know that she is being made to dress only in dresses.

perhaps Suri is just a very girly girl in her taste in clothes. Girls that age can be very obstinate in what they prefer to wear.

perhaps Katie prefers to dress Suri this way.

perhaps Tom has preferred Suri be dressed in this way and Katie has not seen a new wardrobe for Suri as a huge priority right now.

Who knows, surely not I.

maybe she just likes them...i have a friend who has 2 girls...one of them wears dresses/skirts non stop....doesnt matter if she is out playing in the dirt or going to school or dinner or whatever....she just is very very girly....

it could also be that she katie knows they will be photographed everytime they step out in public and just wants her to look super girly....

who knows...
 
I've just had a shock.

I've spent some time reviewing some documentaries/stories on youtube about Scientology in general.

I am not going to out this person. But someone I knew - and only recently have stopped being in touch with - was one of the people who was going around and filming film crews. This person was one of those folks who is following other people.

I cannot believe this. This person and I don't really talk much, and weren't very close to begin with, and this person and I had a falling out over an ethics issue (this person would NOT do what was right, because that would mean this person had to stand up for someone else...), and that was right after the date on the film I saw of this person filming a news crew...in another country.

I am flabbergasted.

I know quite a few scientologists. As I've said earlier in this thread, I've been involved with some of their technology, in a peripheral way. Because of my father, I know some of the more "famous faces" in scientology, but not 'closely'...it was never my thing, but I have generally respected others' choices as long as they don't hurt anyone...(which, I can't do now, because of the stuff I've learned about scientology).

But I can't begin to tell you how blown away I am at seeing this person literally stalking and filming a news crew, on behalf of scientology. Makes me ill.

Just totally OT, but needed to express that here...this upsets me a lot, which seems strange because this person and I, while not close, had a working respect and a decent friendship (acquaintanceship?) for a few years there...and to find that this person is one of the 'bad guys'....well...makes me kinda weird-feeling.

Katie has said that since the age of 1 1/2, Suri has chosen her own wardrobe and is very particular about it!

In other news, scientology is trying to shut all the bad press down. They are going after comments and could even come after our site!:
The church has sent an email to followers instructing them on how to "counter free speech on the internet," according to former Scientologist and current anti-Scientologist blogger Marty Rathbun, who posted the email message in its entirety on his blog. The message instructs followers to visit media sites, including Microsoft, Google or any other that requires users to agree to a code of conduct that prohibits comments that threaten, defame or degrade any group or individuals.

Followers should hunt for any comments about the Cruise-Holmes divorce, click the "Report" tag, and report the comments as violations of the site's code of conduct, the email instructs.
You can write something like "Violate Your Code of Conduct". 'defames or degrades a group for any reason including on the basis of religion.'

I do wish the kids of celebs weren't hounded by photographers though. I feel very sorry for them, having to live under a microscope.
 
Maybe I should not have said*made* to wear dresses- I just found it odd that Suri is never in pants!-I meant nothing by it-LOL

that is because you are being sold that picture which in turn many people buy into and believe it.....it is better for the gossip mill to post negative crap than positive....so they have a zillion pics of her and CHOOSE to post the negative ones......

i dont believe she is any more a spoiled, unhappy child than jane doe down the street is - who has less than her.....

i see nothing wrong with living a lavish material life....that does not equate to anything....plenty of kids who are poor and have next to nothing who are little misserable brats running around...
 
herdingcats, I am sorry about your situation. Please don't feel bad about it though. I have learned over the years that you can never truly know anyone except yourself. Even loved ones can be much different than you think, even if you lived with them for many years. (Exhubby is an example.)


Not sure what Scientology can do about "free speech" and the internet. Well, maybe make veiled threats. There is some much bad stuff out there already it should make no difference to them, other than continue instructing members to never look it up. Free speech is just that, as far as I know no one has threatened or harmed anyone. Just millions of people posting their opinions and info all over the web and t.v. shows. Good luck stopping that...


Glad to see a smiling and genuinely happy photo of Suri and Mom. That is just such good news, without any words! They both need some happy times more than anything else.

I think you misunderstand my point. I was not stating that Suri is either "spoiled" or should live like a monk.

My point it that in the many photos that we see of her she appears to be very sad. And she has such wonderful material things surrounding her that IF she is a very sad child that most likely is not coming from any lack in her life materially. It brings home for me the fact that you can have lots of stuff and still be an unhappy person. In other words money doesn't insure happiness.

Given her mom and dad are divorcing and her life has been sort of disrupted emotionally and physically (new home) I would be shocked if a child her age was NOT sad. Assuming the divorce has been coming for a while, that would indicate life has not been wonderful.

And you may well be right in your point that perhaps the photos which all seem to indicate a sad little girl are indeed selected for just that reason. there could be bins and bins of happy smiley photos of Suri that never see the light of day because they don't tell the story that the press wants to sell whatever the story is that week.
 
Holy Moly, this confirms much of what I had suspected, but was not about to say without some backup on my thoughts. Steely posted it back on page 6, but if you have an hour and a half, and t.v. is boring this weekend, watch this.

At some time--maybe it was when Oprah went to their (TC and KH's) home in Colorado and did her show there-- (iirc) TC stated that Suri was a girly girl...she loves to dress up in dresses. I guess that is why we never see her in jeans or slacks!
