In the late 1940s, 89-year-old WW2 veteran Bryan Sperry had lettered for Kansas State and KU and turned out at the Orange Bowl. His game had been disrupted by the war though and eventually he had a long career as a football coach at Pittsburg State.
He hadn't suited up for a college game for almost 70 years, when last Saturday he joined an alumni scrimmage at Kansas Memorial Stadium.
He scored himself a touchdown.

"That was fun," Perry said. "I didn't know if I could run."
