Who needs 'Happy Hour, when we have 'Happy Days' in here? There were some that said they were going to take a drink everytime they heard the word 'context' today, but I haven't seen any of them post in awhile :what: To catch up, we could start a second round, new phrase, 'May we Approach'

I think they all stopped posting when they passed out under the computer. :floorlaugh:

I keep waiting for JM to say "stop worrying about where I'm going with my questions and just answer the one I'm asking right now". I truly believe this is where ALV keeps getting hung up - she's trying to think 3 steps ahead of the question. Makes her look dishonest.

I've also noticed that she has, several times in the last few days on the stand, said something along the lines of: "I honestly AM trying to think of the answer", or "I truly am ..." Whenever she does that, it immediately makes me think that what's she's really saying is: "Well, okay, I lied on some of that other stuff, but for THIS answer I really AM telling the truth."

Check out WATs twitter pic: Is this Donovan in the fetching t-shirt and bermuda shorts ensemble near the elevators?

Nice ploy JW. Having the closed hearing at 1pm knowing good and well that you would not be ready when the jury came back. Good way to assure Juan doesn't get a full day with you "expert".

:panic:
I have no wine!!! I thought I had a bottle in the pantry!!!
do I have time to run to market? I need chocolate too!!!
:panic:

I have a large bag of M&M's here at my desk, help yourself! Can't help with the wine though as I'm at work but if someone could sneak some under my desk, that'd be much appreciated. ;)

84 here. :great:

Lucky! Not even supposed to reach 70 here today. Though we did just enjoy a week of mid-80s so I probably shouldn't complain too much. Just tired of the wind.

I think it is time for the mechanical hand with the tapping fingers someone posted earlier.
Obviously when Judge reiterated 1:30 twice, it meant little.

what would that prove? nobody can prove with an xray or an MRI whether it happened in january or in june of 2008. she says january. but she also ADMITTED it was in june when she spoke to det. flores.

if there's a way to date an injury like that, i don't know about it. unless a fracture (and i don't even think it WAS fractured) is healing and showing varying stages of bone formation, i'm not sure you can say with accuracy when a fracture happened---and certainly not narrow it down to a 6 month window. this now happened 5 years ago.

besides being another of her lies, the issue of premeditated murder doesn't depend on that finger. JMO.

Who saw the Video of Jodi as a bridesmaid at some wedding? It was on NG or JVM late last week. There are TWO instances on that tape where you can SEE HER BENT FINGER and this video is over 6 years ago! I read a post by someone on this board and they gave the "time" to look for it. I did and I did see it but there was an instance before that one that showed her finger too. If Juan can prove her finger has been bent for years before Jan 2008 I would think the DT would be up a creek without that proverbial paddle. Has no one else seen this???

Welcome to the zoo Retro...um given your name, are you old-fashioned? Just curious, seems to be a hot topic today...

Fun Fact: IQ tests were developed after Albert Einstein's death, so his IQ is not known or recorded.

Given that, both statements only exist in an 'alternate reality.'

:seeya:

First let me state that to my knowledge, Einstein never underwent IQ testing.

IQ testing was around many years before Einstein died.

You can read about the history of intelligence testing here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_quotient

Einstein died in 1955.

Every time I hear reference to one of the California highways it makes me think of the Saturday Night Live skit The Californians. Cracks me up :)

Love that sketch.. "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Are Youuuuuuuu Doing Here?"

I love quotes like this. They are used quote often to deflect who is really giving them money. If he said that no one I know, no one I work with, no one I do any business dealings with have never given money, certificates or anything to the Arias family, the Arias family friends, or groups, funds, charities or financial institutions. Have I missed any outs on this?

As someone said earlier:

JM finds a crack then drives a Mack truck through it!
I love this!

On another note, I'm finding that I can barely watch this 'testimony' anymore. I was out all day yesterday, so last night and this morning I was catching up on yesterday's proceedings. While watching, I could literally feel my chest getting tight, my body getting tense and my blood pressure rising. I don't know how JM can go on with this witness anymore.

ALV will not give a yes or no answer and continues to elaborate on pretty much everything JM asks her. Since when is any witness able to answer with, "Yes ... with a qualifier"? I even heard her actually questioning Juan! Many times she went well beyond what she was asked and continued to yap away. And the judge lets her go on and on!

Then you have the DT objecting to pretty much every question JM asks. All those interruptions disrupt the flow and continuity of the Prosecutions arguments ... and it's plain not fair. Again, we have a criminal having more rights than the rest of society, including the victim.

No wonder JM feels like he needs to bark at the Defense witnesses- they are rude, combative, argumentative, inconsistent, make up their own rules and refuse to answer his questions. Plain and simple, they are Hired Guns.

Actually, I don't know how JM manages to control himself as well as he does. We're very blessed to have such an intelligent man on the side of what is right and just. If I were independently wealthy, I'd send him on a much needed vacation after this trial!

anybody in there right mind would facing the death penalty would do whatever they could to find that gun if it was TAs #jodiarias

You would think that she would be telling police about where she threw, placed, hid or whatever she did with that gun if she wanted to prove it wasn't her grandfather's.

LOL at Jodi's claim that she threw her grandpa's gun at some random location in the desert. She would not have taken the gun with her to only "dispose" of it in some place where there was a good chance it could be found. The likely reality is, it's at the bottom of some body of water, after being burned beyond recognition.

I know it's been a few years but if you watch the YouTube videos of ALV giving her "keynote" speaking engagements it's like a totally different person.

ALV obviously isn't in her element where she has an audience that hangs on her every word and pats her on the back.
