I think I heard Juan say that the state rested. Did I?

As for Wednesday, what is the secrecy surrounding that? Why did the judge not say it was a surrebuttal? Why does the jury and the rest of us not get to hear this?

I think we are all entitled to examine the evidence and critique what we find fault with. We don't have to work with the ME's opinion to be solidly on Travis' side.

I wasn't lamenting the discussion, I was lamenting it being brought up in the general threads again especially when there is a dedicated thread for "which came first..." If that discussion is held to the dedicated thread for it, those of us who are not interested in a re-re-re-rehash of the gun first vs knife first debate won't have to wade through it.

OK, I am catching up on youtube as my boss took me to lunch right as court was to start!

I see JA was a little upset today - boo freaking hoo sweetheart, shouldve thought abotu that before you killed Travis.

And whats up with juror #8? Is he gone? So now we are down 3 jurors? Is that correct?

And I am posting my FAVORITE gif that I stole from someone here.... sorry, I had to. hehehe

BBM : I hope this is the case.

And as much as I dislike the defense team , you are correct, they did what they were supposed to do and tried the best they could. I don't like it though.

JW did not have to act like her BBF,to me that is not forgivable and went beyond doing her job!

She needs to be destroyed. Whether that happens in a court of law or she dies of old age. She will go down in flames. And no one, save her regarded family and that old guy, will care. There is nothing worth saving. You can't medicate empathy. Sorry for those that are dealing with issues with their own kids. But there is not and will not ever be a drug that somehow makes someone who lacks empathy for others feel it.
I might have a bit of fognesia, but who is "the old guy?"

I don't care which came first as I don't believe her story about self defense in the first place.

Given that the defendant was so worked up from court today, I wonder if Wilmott calmed her before she was led to her transportation back to jail today ?

Oh, do tell. What was she doing in court today! Fisties? Dramatic "crying"? Glares? Angry whispering? What was she so on about?

IMO the knife came first because the crime was personal. If she only stabbed him, she's "smart" enough to know she would be a suspect - 1 weapon, 1 killer. The gun shot was to make it look like some kind of burglery or hit - instead of a jealousy stabby ex.

I'm hungry, what did you eat? ;-)

Woww!! Excellent. Do we know if a surrebuttal was allowed? I hope not!!

I think we are all entitled to examine the evidence and critique what we find fault with. We don't have to work with the ME's opinion to be solidly on Travis' side.

Also, I note that every attorney on here thus far who has given an opinion believes Travis was shot first and several people with hunting expertise and expertise with .25's, as well as some in the health care profession who have witnessed gun shot wounds to the head, believe Travis could have been shot first and moved around and talked for a while in that condition. So there is room for doubt and we should be able to voice that doubt.

But what we can and should do is possibly leave that conversation to the sequence of events thread which i think is devoted to the issue?

I'm bumping my post to ask whether the ME negated the possibility of Travis lunging like a linebacker and rushing at her after being shot in the head. Anyone?

ETA: I'm not trying to contradict my statement above. I want to know what he testified to, not debate the sequence here!!!

Very profound post. The bolded part especially resonated with me. I agree with your prediction. She's not getting out of this and her revolting bashing of the victim really did her in. That's what caused the most anger toward her, I think.

I would want to see hard facts, the probability of that happening, regardless of anecdotal evidence.

Any docs that show how he was shot trajectory wise? Because I can not see this just from the xray. I see it in his jaw, But I don't see how it got there.. She through the top of his head??? And then it lodged in his jaw???? Thanks!

Gotta turn it all off...

If I hear Mike Galanos or Jane Valez-Mitchell talk about Travis in that @#$%*&^ 1950's Top 40 Countdown radio voice - I will lose . my . mind.

For the love of everything that is holy - please stop milking this. No one wants to "debate" your stupid theories anymore. We're done.

Agreed, she also smiles at the most inappropriate times. She lost all my respect and I liked her at one time and Nurmi didn't have to go on and on with all the sex talk IMO

Maybe JW shouldn't be so happy about Juror #8 (if in fact she is!).

I can easily see a juror who actually favors Jodi wanting off this trial more than one who believes the State. Having to go in out-numbered (prob) and argue your case FOR Jodi would be extremely difficult.

To me if a juror wants off this case at this point, it's more likely they don't want that kind of conflict.

:twocents:

I like the way you think, Arabian Girl. :)

What incenses me more is the absolute agony they deliberately put the Alexanders through. IMO, they did NOT believe their client, and I will go so far as to say I believe they both lied for her at different points in the trial.
They both went far beyond the "duty" they are called upon, and the both disgust me.

I hope not...I hope she went back to the slammer with her stomach so upset that she won't be able to eat her baloney sandwich.

I just cannot get over her mothers behaviour in the courtroom. She smiles, giggles and acts like she's the proud mother of a celebrity. Is she hiding her feelings or is she missing some coco puffs?
