It's a miracle... Roux is done badgering the witness.

Back to redirect.

Whether the head shot was the first or last, this witness says that she heard the woman screaming after the gunshots ended. That seems impossible if there was a shot to the head that immediately incapacitated Reeva.

she did not say she heard gunshots after they ended. She said AS they ended, IIRC. Screaming simultaneously.

Prosecution up now - asking witness how she'd break down a door with a cricket bat.

They're all mad, I swear.

Witness is tearing up now... :(

Witness breaks down in sobs recalling sound of Reeva's screams. V. powerful.

Judge thanks and excuses witness Burger.

Witness trying to gather herself, sympathy on all faces in court. Cept Oscar who has eyes glued to the floor.

She said several times that she heard the woman screaming after the last shot.

Witness allowed to step down.

V. compelling. Not a tear through all the defence badgering, but the thought of Reeva's screams was obviously torment. Such a strong gift to the prosecution, without having to say a word.

Judge makes order, no photograph of the witness shall be publicized. Did you hear that @ENCAnews

The prosecutor made a good point about the amount of time it takes between swings of a cricket bat to break down a door, compared with the pause of time between the first gunshot & the subsequent 3 gunshots (which occurred in rapid succession) as heard by Ms. Burger.

She said several times that she heard the woman screaming after the last shot.

From my memory, she was very careful to specify that it overlapped a bit perhaps. But was at the same time. Never heard her say there was a separate scream afterwards. I will look back at the transcript though.

Apparently there is not. There was something about her calling security but calling the wrong number and then the husband calling the correct security company. There has been very little information about this so I'm assuming there is no recording or transcript.
She lives in the estate next door to OP estate, she called the security office of her estate to report something happening in the estate next door. Thats how I understood it :)

Is there a webpage or anything listing the defence and prosecution teams? Preferably with photographs. I am having trouble working out which one is doing the questionning.

New witness estelle 'very tense'. Pros/Judge urge her to relax.

Testifying she heard 'sounds like somebody involved in a fight' that night. 'Lasted about an hour' couldn't understand what they were saying or the language they spoke.

Different translator then yesterday, this one is harder to understand.

Witness says she was told by police how to describe sounds she heard as she couldn't. But defence got her to say that HER best way to describe them -

'Bang bang.'
