The plot thickens. From Saturday:

Zavion's mother, Michelle Lee, told ABC13's Erica Simon that someone spotted the truck in Brazoria County.

When asked if the truck was the same during the alleged kidnapping, Zavion said "yes."

Someone spotted a red truck with flames in Brazoria County, Texas today; sent the photo to #ZavionParker’s mom. She asked her son if this was the truck he was talking about. He said yes.
...
A woman in northeast Houston told Eyewitness News that officers investigated the abandoned property on Tuesday.

UPDATE: #ZavionParker’s mom says this is the shack/cabin Zavion was taken to. They drove by there to get a picture and see if there was any activity. Neighbors told her the men who use it don’t actually live there, but DO reside nearby.

And a local radio station reported this:

Doubts have been raised about his story, but police also found the abandoned shack the teen described. Investigators discovered shell casings, a wooden chair and other weapons. Zavion has spoken to detectives several times this week with the help of a child counselor. Extra patrol has also been implemented around Zavion’s school, Forest Brook Middle School.

I'm close to buying the story... BUT, the description of the tattoo "I hate black people" throws me. I mean, what racist would choose that wording? :dunno:

IMO it's not unreasonable to think kids have seen that flame-painted truck around and it's also reasonable to think that they are aware of the "abandoned shack" so I could see an imaginative tale being spun. I hate that doubting a child's story if it's true but that tattoo...

Zavion's story has understandably been overshadowed by the school shooting but hopefully we'll hear more soon. LE must know who owns the truck and shack by now so the investigation should move along rapidly.

P.S. I guess I'm a "dark" Ginger as my hair is medium coppery brown so not only do I not have a soul, if I did it would be a dark soul, lol! These days I have an ongoing relationship with Miss Clairol as my beautiful hair is turning an awful pinky-yellow white. Sigh.

I have that same relationship. Lol

How far is the shack from where zavion lives?

I wish that Z's name wasn't out there everywhere. Thirteen can be a difficult age at the best of times with peer pressure and everything else going on.

I have that same relationship. Lol

It has not been said, I don't believe. The mom and the woman who saw him running took him out and found the property. LE said (in all the msm articles) that Z was taken to an abandoned shed or cabin. The property is not actually abandoned, people live there.

I have a feeling they drove around and said "Is this it?" until he said yes. That's totally JMO, though. I don't know how to feel about all of it. I hate saying I feel a kid is lying, but it all stinks. IF it's not true, I hope they get to the bottom of it and seek some help and support.

Could Z have been at the shack with other kids and didn't want his Mom to know?
I don't like feeling skeptical about the stories I have read either. There are lots of different versions are floating around.

Just speculating

I think a situation like that is probably much more likely.

JMO.

FWIW, people apparently live there, so maybe we should refrain from calling it a shack. I don’t mean this directed towards you - I probably used the same term since that’s what’s been said in MSM. I just feel like these people may be innocent victims of a hoax and to call their home a shack could add insult to injury.

I thought it was abandoned?

I thought it was abandoned?

MSM reports that Z told LE that he was taken to an abandoned cabin or shack.

The place that Z's mother said is where he was taken, is not abandoned. People live in the house on their property. (Apparently, there is a building on the property, that they claim is where he was taken. That building isn't abandoned, but it's not a house so people don't live in it.)

Clear as mud?!!

In the video I saw, taken by people wearing Houston United shirts, they even say people live there, and there are a few vehicles and dogs outside. That’s where I got that from. The people videotaping could perhaps have the wrong house, idk. But I don’t think LE ever confirmed anything about the supposed shack.

Thanks for the info. And, yes it is clear as mud, like much of this story. moo

What’s clear as crystal to me is that there are vigilantes posted up outside the “shack” owners home, videotaping and making accusations. Putting words in LEs mouths. And posting it all on social media. If this turns out to be untrue, I hope these vigilantes face consequences, even though i think it’s unlikely.

Oh absolutely. I was not aware people lived there. Thanks!

No prob [emoji846] It’s hard to tell what’s fact and what’s hearsay in this situation. I am not sure on a lot of things. I do think people live there - but that is based off of the videos posed on SM, not anything stated by LE. I also haven’t seen LE state they found casings, so who knows.

Just my two cents. I haven't read all the post but some. I think this story from this boy and his mother are lies. This poor little guy is going to have to eventually suffer egg on his face. He's young and doesn't yet comprehend where this is going. I think this young man needs to be shielded from public media and scrutiny. He told this story for reasons other than the truth. Whatever those reasons are it's sad. He's still just a boy. He needs to be kept out of the media and public outcry and scrutiny. Put yourself in his current situation, at his age. Can you imagine?

If you think about it, it would be better if the boy told a fib and wasn't really abducted and attacked. Except that he probably had no idea of how quickly stories like this spread on sm and msm so now it's kind of hard to take it back.

Hopefully, if the story's a lie then his mother and family will disclose it, log off of their sm and deal with his issues privately. Lie or truth, the adults need to keep the boy's best interests in mind.

This is my point I was trying to say/ Thank you.

Anyone remember Tawana Brawley?

Exact same story, same media overplay, same histrionics, same vigilantism, same racist narrative, except with less gingers.

Notice the conspicuous absence of the Revs. Jackson and Sharpton.

Read up on the Tawana Brawley hoax, and it’ll be crystal clear why they’re steering clear of this one.

Tawana Brawley. That's a heck of a story! She is standing behind it too!

Questions come to mind:
Family reported on a live stream that the "father" or maybe she said "dad" of the kidnapping teenagers.... "Father" ""Dad" ? Do kidnappers typically reveal family relations to the kidnapped?
Check out the video where HPD, and maybe a family member or two of the boy are talking, went to possible kidnapper's house/shack? A woman can be heard in the background asking about a donkey biting the boy. She references that he was "kidnapped" so it appears to be part of the "investigation." The officer responds by saying that he was raised on a farm and that animals bite.
Google the cross streets reported. There are quite a homes with big pieces of land with red trucks on them.
What racist would use those terms reported on a tattoo? It seems pretty PC.
What about the new revelation about a red, white, blue tattoo on the neck ?

Thoughts?
