Houston police have taken a DNA sample from another person of interest in the Acres Homes murders.

A crime scene unit with a camera and equipment for DNA testing arrived at an acres homes church late Thursday afternoon.

That’s where a man that police had been looking to question about the recent murders of six women agreed to meet with them.

The meeting was arranged by activists Quanell X.

“He understands that this sketch looks like almost his kissing twin brother if he ever had one, but absolutely this brother is saying its totally not him,” said Quanell X

Since the latest body was found eight days ago, Houston police have blanketed the Acres Homes area.

If this is a serial killer, they say they want to find him before he strikes again.

“Well that’s why we have a task force formed, to try and get as many people as we can to assist in this case,” said HPD’s Clifford Blomberg.

Can't stand Quanell but if he can help find this dude more power to him. Even Sheila Jackson Lee is in on it as well as the FBI..

He was killed on march 16 or 17 and left in a ditch on coffee street behind an elementary school. He was shot in the head and part of the body was set on fire this was in 2004.

In the space of about six months, six dead prostitutes had been found, five of them in Acres Homes. During that same time, Shorten had come across a dozen or so prostitutes who had told stories about being assaulted behind Acres Homes churches. But because the news media had not yet snapped to the murders, no one outside the neighborhood had any idea what was happening...

The break finally came that September, when an eighteen-year-old prostitute known as Chelsea ran out of a muddy field in the Trinity/Houston Gardens neighborhood, on the northeast side of downtown, twelve miles away from Acres Homes. She was completely nude. She banged on the front doors of several homes, screaming for help...

When the officers drove Chelsea to the field, they discovered the man she had described. He was still trying to move his car, a Pontiac Grand Am with temporary plates. His name was LaMarques McWilliams, and he was 33 years old. Raised in Acres Homes, he lived with his 25-year-old girlfriend and her two small children in an east-side apartment complex...

A couple of days later, the FBI technician called with McWilliams’s DNA results. Shorten held her breath. The technician said the DNA matched the semen found in the mouth of Pamela Goss. It matched one of the samples of semen found in Jasmine “Precious” Clark, the young prostitute who had been discovered between the two churches, and it matched the semen on a sweater from a prostitute named Judy, who had been assaulted in 2006. Incredibly, his DNA also matched the semen that had been found inside a thirteen-year-old Acres Homes girl who was raped back in 1996. McWilliams had been preying on Acres Homes women for at least thirteen years.

A Houston man charged with five rapes and a murder in the Acres Homes neighborhood received a life sentence with the possibility of parole on Thursday.

The same jury found LaMarques Devon McWilliams, 35, guilty last Friday of one aggravated sexual assault — a first-degree felony. The other rape charges were dismissed. He will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years in prison... McWilliams still faces a murder charge...

Acres Homes residents and local activists became alarmed by the possibility of a serial killer or serial rapist in the northwest Harris County community... That probe resulted in multiple arrests, but charges were filed against McWilliams and Bilford Dwight Junious, 40, who was accused of nine sexual assaults in Acres Homes over seven years. He was convicted on one rape charge in 2009 and sentenced to 40 years in prison. The other charges were dismissed.
