The last day her daughter was seen, Trevino said she was going to sleep when Amarillyz stepped outside to talk to her boyfriend. She left her phone inside the family's home.

"My daughter was a little scared because they have been fighting and she didn't want to talk to him but he was still texting her and my daughter said, 'I don't want to see you because I'm afraid you're going to hit me again,'" Trevino said.
She said the boyfriend's mother told her that he hadn't been home since that day.

Full name: Amarillyz Amy Estevez

DOB. 01/25/2001

I know the family is likely worried about the boyfriend being involved and as a parent, I would be too. But she may have left voluntarily- she has an active criminal case in Harris County, her bond has been forfeited and a warrant has been issued (their website is very cumbersome and you have to register to use it, but it's free). Case No. 24353370101A- 4 Active - CRIMINAL(A) Looks like most recent charges were filed 8/24 (AFTER she went missing), that may be the charges for the forfeiture of bond, rather than the original arrest.
--- There is a related case under this one (Case No. 24353370101A) for Driving While Intoxicated dated 12/6/22 Case number 243533701010 (listed under the "related cases" box.)
---Under "Bookings/Holds" for this current criminal case it also lists $5000 bond on burglary charges with a hold dated 3/4/22.

Her criminal history is fairly extensive for someone so young. Case No: 240785301010 - 2 filed 5/18/2022 Theft charges that led to a $50,000 bond amount.
Case No. 240976801010 - 2 Filed Date 6-1-22 WEAPONS CHARGES (dismissed)
Case No. 177293401010 - 3 Filed Date 6-1-22 POSS CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE Felony Indictment

There are several more, but I'm starting to get a headache going back and forth in the records with all the related case numbers - you can take a look, but there's drugs, guns, auto theft, burglary, and more than one DUI, some charges dismissed, some active, some ending in a forfeiture of bond and a warrant recently out. A good reason to lie low perhaps?? I'd rather it be that than she has come to harm. She's someone's loved one and needs to be safe and home.

NOTE: Katy Texas is actually in three counties, I checked all 3, only Harris County had records for this young woman.
