23 year-old Amon Gift was last seen on January 20th 2017 in Houston, Texas. But it is thought he might be in the area of Brookeland, Texas. Amon is driving a white, 2008 Dodge Durango SXT.

Amon has the tattoo of a dragon on his right arm, and an armor shield tattooed on his left arm.

Amon Gift, 23, was last seen by anyone on Friday in Houston. His wife Savannah told ABC13 she received a text from him saying he was at Mill Creek Park in Brookeland, Texas. But she wasn't able to find him there, his phone is turned off and no one has heard from Amon since Friday.

She added that Amon, who serves in the military and returned from Afghanistan in May, has been diagnosed with PTSD.

Brookeland is about 150 miles northeast of Houston, near Lake Sam Rayburn and the Louisiana state line.

It appeared that the vehicle had become stuck and slid off the road against a tree. On the driver's side window a message had been written, which showed an arrow pointing to a larger nearby road. Under the arrow a message had been written which said "Further up ahead!"...

Savannah said the only link that Amon Gift has to this area is the fact that his step-father owns a house close to Powell Park, on the eastern shore of Lake Sam Rayburn, many miles from where his vehicle was found. However, Savannah said to her knowledge Amon has never been to the house or even to the area.

She sad that law enforcement personnel told her that they have gone to the house, located on Private Road 8577, and checked both inside and all around the outside, but there was no sign of her husband.

JASPER - The body of a 23 year-old U.S. Army veteran from Houston who has been missing since Friday has been found near Lake Sam Rayburn in Jasper County.
