I went over and read Ashton's my.space.com and I'm glad that I did. A person really gets a picture of what Ashton was like through all of her friends. She seemed to be the person that helped everyone when they were having a bad day....gave lots of hugs to her friends and just made everyones day brighter. She sounds like she was a tom boy as one of her friends mentioned that Ashton would tease her about being prissy because she wasn't prissy. You can tell how much pain these kids are in and how they are still looking for Ashton to walk through the door. It must be so hard to be in your teens and to lose your friend. One thing I will say for all of the kids...it seems they all attended a youth group at their church and they have no doubt where Ashton is at right now. They talk about her watching over them and helping them and her family through this. They talk about her welcoming them into heaven when it is their turn. Ashton sounds like she was quite the prankster and a real fun girl to be around. None of them understand why it happened. They said that they knew that she fought to live and one girl mentioned that she knew Ashton fought back because of her broken arm.

I wonder too why this happened. Ashton wasn't raped so what in the heck happened? What did those two creepy kids do...just decide they wanted to beat someone to death? They broke her arm fighting. I don't even want to think of the terror Ashton had to have felt. I'm so glad LE caught those guys before they could get over the border. LE must have notified all of the border patrol in various places. Who would have thought two 18 yr old punks would think about taking off for Canada. They probably didn't even have the proper paperwork that you have to have now days to enter Canada. You can't just present your driver's license and drive on over. This is just so horrible.

My heart goes out to Ashton's family. She said that she has two sisters..one is 20 yrs and one is 6 yrs. She said she would do anything for her sisters and that she just loves them to death. I hate to think of what the girls are going through. That little one trying to understand what happened to her big sister.
No family should ever have to go through this just because of two ignorant boys who decided that their girl shouldn't live another day. Well, those two young boys are going to have a long time behind bars to think about what they did and I hope and pray that they feel some remorse and that they suffer every single day.

Ashton was shot in the head by two classmates, both 18 and next-door neighbors. They didn't run until the body was discovered; guess they thought they were beyond suspicion. Sad though it is - you can't trust anyone - not if you value your life!

Brown and McCombs were questioned by Sugar Land police when officers began investigating the Glover disappearance as a missing-persons case Saturday evening.

Wright said McCombs and Brown told police they saw Glover getting into a white Toyota pickup near Commonwealth and University in Sugar Land early Saturday morning. Detectives now say there never was a white Toyota pickup.

There are just endless comments from friends grieving the loss of this prescious young girl. Such a sad story.

Also, here is Matt McCombs' myspace page, too. He is one of the two arrested in connection with Ashton's death...

Notice on his page where it says "what do you want to be when you grow up" and he answers, "killer...soldier...whatever" Guess he fulfilled that....sick!

Did anyone notice he has a pic of Ashton with "RIP Ashton" over it? Did he do that?? SICK.
That's one of his "friend's" pictures. You can have a list of friends on your site and they name themselves with a picture to represent their "icon"/moniker.

Oh, thank God, because that really made me sick if HE did that. I guess I don't understand "MySpace" other than I will not allow my almost 13-year-old to have one.

Web sites shed light on Sugar Land suspects
Their MySpace pages feature guns and skulls; police say Glover killed by gunshot

RICHMOND - One teen likened a Remington handgun to playing a musical instrument, while police say his friend and alleged accomplice in the death of a 16-year-old Sugar Land girl decorated his Web page with skulls and what appears to be a spinning pistol.

One day after Sean H. Brown and Matthew R. McCombs were snared by Canadian authorities while trying to cross the border, few who knew the 18-year-old Sugar Land buddies had much to say about the teens. But their MySpace.com pages shed light on their interests, which appear to center on guns, girls, video games and "things that go BOOM!"

I think something that is very chilling on McCombs website is where it asked what is goal is to achieve this year... his answer... not get caught.

Did anyone else notice on Matt's myspace that on 6/15/06 a girls said soemthign to simialr to - 'i see your house arrest has turned you to myspace' - to see scroll all the way to the bottom.

So if he was on house arrest I wonder what for??

Apparently neither of these individuals parents must have accessed their web pages.. to me as a parent were my daughter or son to have noted these type of responses to fairly mundane questions or have some of the grahics on their page.. I would be taking a far closer look at them and their behaviors..
I am not trying to place blame but there must have been warning signs or something that would indicate that their were issues here. I just can;t imagine that these 2 individuals would commit cold blooded murder with no signs or symptoms. Or maybe they did and I am just being naive to think there was some way to prevent this terrible, sensless tradgedy. Thank the lord for those Mounties and the border agents who took their jobs seriously and took a closer look.

It looks as if the girl that has RIP AHSTON as her name used to date Sean. On his myspace she wrote:

I hope you rot in hell for this Sean Brown! I knew there was a reason why I didn't want to be with you anymore.

Good for her... getting out when she did!

Police: Teen admits being involved in Sugar Land murderRICHMOND--One of the teens charged in the slaying of Ashton Glover has given police a statement admitting his involvement in the killing, Fort Bend County officials said today.

Investigators were preparing to bring Matthew R. McCombs, 18, from the St. Clair County jail in Port Huron, Michigan to Texas when the teen told police he wanted to talk, Chief Deputy Craig Brady of the Fort Bend County Sheriff's office said today.
''Ultimately he gave confession admitting his involvement in the murder,'' Brady said.

Brady declined to provide any details about McComb's statement other than it took several hours.

Fort Bend County Sheriff Milton Wright said the statement greatly strengthens the state's case against the pair.

"It makes the case. We had a good case, I think now we have an airtight case," Wright said.

RICHMOND -- Matthew R. McCombs admitted shooting a Fort Bend County girl in the head and told investigators he did it out of "morbid curiosity," Sheriff Milton Wright said today.

Wright also confirmed that a pistol found during the investigation last week was the one used to kill 16-year-old Ashton Glover.

Wright declined to elaborate on McCombs' confession during a news conference after McCombs was returned to Fort Bend County today from Canada, where he and Sean H. Brown, 18, fled after Glover died.

I hope these guys rot in hell.....so they wanted to be killers..well now they will spend the rest of their lives in jail.............

Jail called 'safest' place for suspect
Lawyer says he may request trial be moved for teen accused of girl's slaying

RICHMOND - The attorney for murder suspect Matthew R. McCombs said he may seek a change of venue for his client's trial because of the public attention surrounding the slaying of 16-year-old Ashton Glover of Sugar Land.

"His family may not even want to bond him out at this time," attorney Ira H. Chenkin said Tuesday following a brief court appearance by McCombs.

"Right now he is considered a pariah in this community. His safest place probably is in this jail right now."

The weapon, a rare .32-20-caliber revolver, was taken from the grandmother of a friend of McCombs, police said. Investigators think the woman did not know the gun was missing.

Calls to the Kerrville Police Department and the Kerr County Sheriff's Office were not returned Tuesday.

Investigators said Brown and McCombs met Glover on the night of July 7 at a Sugar Land coffee shop and drove her to the field where McCombs shot her in the head. The pair left the scene and went to a restaurant where they ate breakfast. They later returned to the field and buried Glover, they said.
