I tend to think as well Adriana was killed first. Sometimes reporters insert old news in new stories. The timeline has me so confused. What little timeline we have. Adriana was suppose to spend time with her friends at the apt. yet when they arrive nobody is home. She is not answering her friends on her phone. There is a 1 a.m. sighting of Adriana and her Dad. I wonder if the sighting was mistaken? Adriana is found in pyjamas and slippers? What went on in all those hours?????

I can't help but wonder if the person who took them knew mom was away. Not saying mom had anything to do with it at all. The timing just seems interesting. Possibly the person who did this thought Adriana was away too and was surprised. He did what he did to her more quickly in order to move on with the original plan he had for the dad. Such a tragic story.

It's difficult for me to come up with a timeline. Adriana's mother spoke with them on Friday. Then they were seen at 1 AM (Saturday morning?). Adriana was supposed to have friends over around 6 PM on Saturday, but no one was home when the friends arrived. The only other items I can remember is that the Walker County Sheriff stated in the first interview that the father's body was found around noon on Sunday and the truck was burned at 10:27 PM on Sunday. So, yes, between 1 AM Saturday and Sunday is a large timeline. And the geographic distance with the two bodies and burned truck is rather large.

I still believe the murderers can be caught from the videos. And the Walker County Sheriff stated in the 2nd interview that there was more video that was being processed and had not been released yet.

Very heartbreaking. I've been following this case since it started and I was really hoping that she would be found alive. She looks just like my niece. Rest in peace, beautiful girl. :(

I haven't been able to stop thinking about this and dreamed about Adriana last night too. I've got some crazy movie scenario running through my head. Villains force father to do something, maybe he owes a debt, maybe not. But he is needed to crack a safe or access some high level computer system. Daughter is held hostage (at a separate location) to make sure he follows through with it. The villains keep in contact via phone (maybe Adrianas phone is used?) Once the deed is done, both father and daughter are killed.

I've BBM because I know it's crazy, I just can't figure it out and my brain won't stop >.<

(I should probably stick to making maps)

This is somewhat OT, but noteworthy.

There were several unidentified female bodies found in Houston on the same day, McRae said, and the Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify them.

Rest in Peace, Caesar and Adriana. :rose::rose::rose:

May justice be swift.

I am still baffled by the multiple bodies! We have no info on the level of decomp and I wonder if TES was how the others were found. Maybe I missed the info on the other 2 locations, etc.

double post

I had that "gut" feeling that she was killed before Dad, trying to wrench some info or deed from him. Poor girl. RIP Adriana. Prayers for her mom and other family members, friends. What did Dad get involved in? Or was it some weird, random thing?

I can't find actual clarification that poor Adriana was burned as well, but I did see it reported.

Burning and killing is a deeply personal event. But you don't burn a dead guy to send the dead guy a message - he's already dead. It is meant for someone else IMO.

So was Dad killed in front of Adriana or was she killed in front of him? For whom is the message meant?

Not the news I wanted to wake to :(

Poor little princess. Just so senseless. She was going about being her 13 year old self. One Direction, boy bands, friends, school, from all appearances she was just an average girl living an average normal life and then BAM, some jerks took it all. For what? Some slight? Some adult beef? Why? So sad for her loved ones, particularly her mom. I can't imagine the pain.

I am getting conflicting information;
"Walker County sheriff's investigators believe Coronado witnessed the murder of father, Caesar Coronado, before she was killed. "

So if she witnessed his murder to make him beg, suffer not to let her see it, etc, burning him and his truck separately afterward doesn't jibe in my mind. That would make it about her.

To kill her first and make him give in would make sense, but then to murder and burn him makes it no longer about him either in my mind...

Since they lived in apartments that have a relatively decent amount of crime in the area I am assuming there has to be security cameras. So I am hoping greatly that there is some kind of footage showing the coming and going of those few days.

This is the crime in their general area. Nothing to write home about but it's definitely not the "safest" place, so they could have definitely had some stuff going on.

2) I'm sure it's posted somewhere up there, but for me reading she was identified using fingerprints was new and interesting. Not that it matters who found her, just as long as she was found! I do find the fact that the article states they are looking for the "KILLERS" to be key. Unless it's just assumption on the writers part.

I am so sorry to be seeing this ending . I was caught up most of the day yesterday by the shooting and death of an Leo near my area. When I first logged in this morning was hoping to see that she was found and safe. How sad ! It is indeed strange that he was killed first. Prayers for her Mom and family and hoping the killer(s) meet with justice soon .

I'm not convinced Dad was killed first. Sooo many times I see reporters mix new news in with old. Hopefully we get a presser soon to help find the killer/s. IMO

A decomposing body found in west Houston on Wednesday afternoon was identified as Adriana Coronado, said Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva. The body was lying in an open field a few feet from the road.

No attempt to hide the body. Just tossed like so much litter. :( How horrible for the woman who had to find her like that.

Upon seeing the body, she said she thought about how the deceased woman was someone's daughter and, perhaps, someone's sister, "that somebody threw out there like trash," she recalled Friday.

Then, walking to the front door of her one-story, white-paneled home, she picked up a Doritos bag and empty Bud Light bottle from under a plant lining the roadway, which someone had dropped nearby in much the same way.

The situation was upsetting, she said, and difficult to understand.

Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae said he got a call around 7:20 Friday night from the medical examiner's office with the confirmation of Coronado's body having been identified.

[...]

Earlier, a woman living in the home behind which the body was found said she and her gardener discovered it because of the smell.
The woman, who gave her name only as Gwen for privacy, said she was afraid it might be a dog.

"It was not," she said. "It was a young woman."

Houston TV station, KTRK reports on Wednesday, a gardener stumbled upon a decomposed body and called police.Coronado’s ID was determined through fingerprint verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Authorities say it appears she died from multiple gunshot wounds.

It was her mother's surname. I. Mexico you use both. She prob just dropped it off.

Thank you for bringing these links to the thread, SCHMAE....

•RBBM: This is the first time I've seen this. She self-identified (on SM) as Adriana Coronado. Perhaps she left off her surname as a level of safety? If/when my girls create accounts (when they're 30, #IJS), they will not use their legal names. No way.

I'll continue to use the name Adriana did on her social media, as a sign of respect for her wishes. Perhaps we will hear something later to explain this as the investigation evolves. I'm  this was her legal name (e.g. on her birth certificate) :dunno: :sigh:

Was... Just referring to her in the past tense has me crying all over again.

I'm SO hurt by this, as if she were one of my own. Her smile is just like my eldest, and it takes my breath away when I look at her photos.

The absolute epitome of innocence - brutally annihilated.

It's just. SO. WRONG!!!!

:tears:

The finding of the other bodies is crazy to me. I wonder if it's related to this case, other victims.

Also from the above link:

"As of Friday afternoon, he said there are multiple persons of interest."

Snip

"A federal source says Mato is believed to have been in the United States illegally."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe he owed people money who got him over the border? I've heard a lot about kidnappings and demands for money from some of these dangerous groups who help people get over the border. They know that they will not be reported since their victims are here illegally. Sometimes they continue to try to extort money from these people even after their debts are paid, threatening their families. I've seen this mentioned on various documentaries, one of which is called "Who is Dayuni Cristal?", iirc.

Thanks for the post on this. I'm half-Mexican, and aware of this part of our culture. I'm thankful to all who have chimed in. Hopefully this will enlighten anyone who wasn't previously aware.

I apologize if my earlier ramblings came off negatively in any way. I still think it's possible she used AC in the same way other kids create their profiles with just their first and middle names.

But what do I know. :dunno:
