Tim Miller didn't find Christopher. It was a local resident named Tim.
Why would Tim Miller conceal his identity as the one who found Christopher?

@LotusPawprint You are right…They interviewed Tim Miller in another article I read and I must’ve mixed it up…too many Sunday night sangrias

I agree.
My only concern is the loss of his Mickey Mouse boots because I think he was proud of them.
He's in the hospital now for assessment and if any further injuries are noticed LE will be informed if they are suspicious.
It's an extraordinarily traumatic experience for a 3 year old , out there on his own keeping going... he didn't meet a single human in all that time, I imagine.
I hope he has an amazing life from now on. He really deserves it for surviving that.

BBM

I predict that within a few days he will be the proud owner of more Mickey Mouse boots than he will ever be able to wear -- as well as Mickey Mouse shirts, Mickey Mouse watches, and anything else that bears a Mickey Mouse image!! I remember after Casey Hathaway was found he received bears from all over the world!

I reckon you could be right about that. I was so hoping to see him today.. I hope he is okay and knows in his heart he is a great warrior.

3-year-old survives nearly 3 days in a wooded area in Grimes county. But how did he do it?

Christopher Ramirez was found three days after he was reported missing. We talked to a survivalist and a doctor to see how they think he could have done it.

* No foul play suspected

* Going back into the woods to look for his shoes and clothes

* Expected to be released from the hospital on Monday

PLANTERSVILLE, Texas (KBTX) - Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell on Facebook Sunday provided an update on Christopher Ramirez:

“An update or Christopher Ramirez shows that he has been improving at the hospital and doing very well. Sgt. Martha Smith of the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office who has been with the Ramirez family throughout this ordeal reports from the hospital that he more than likely will be released on Monday 11 October 2021 and return home. His mother said that she would like to meet with the press and thank everyone for their support and kindness and see Christopher.

When we know the time of his return home tomorrow we will post this on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook site as early as possible to give the press the time to plan to attend. Speaking Spanish to Sgt. Smith, Christopher said that he likes the police and fire departments and we are planning to put together an escort for Christopher to his home. We will provide an update tomorrow for all participants that helped may want to attend this escort. Lt. James Ellis will be coordinating this and if interested you can email him at james.ellis@grimescountytexas.gov.”

Some other offices might benefit from lessons here. Other ws’ers here should watch and see this prime example of communication.

Every time I read another story about this miracle, I well up.
It comes from somewhere I can’t even describe, and it is an auto-response, like a reflex that is triggered. I don’t expect it, and those close to me would say I am not an emotional person. I don’t cry when everyone else is crying.

But this child, this story, this miracle…..

I so agree.
It's ALL there.
Service with humility and gratitude.
And a whole heap of love and compassion thrown in for good measure.
Could change the future of policing worldwide!

And would it be too much to ask Disney Mickey to show up in East Texas too?? :)
Or really anyone who has access to Mickey costume, as those characters are silent. C'mon Plantersville!

Agree. From the beginning the sheriff and dept handled that aspect very, very well. Investigating thoroughly and letting the public know is SO crucial... Namely that they ruled out the family, that they acknowledged and cleared the step-father (to me) were very beneficial.. Their establishing this and completely shifting their focus elsewhere is seen by the community and beyond, allows the physical search and public attention to solely be on the child..

I know that sometimes alibis and stories are not as easy to establish but I also think that sometimes departments don't (like to? Choose to?) come out and say 'so and so is not involved, Let's move on'..

This was handled the right way, very well done.

This is very cool and done the right way, having checked that mom wants to speak and Christopher likes fire and police departments. So appreciate that they are making sure nothing further traumatizes this family.

I just started sobbing when I got the alert on my phone that he was safe! Still brings me to tears just thinking about it. It's incredible, really is a miracle that he's safe now. Such a brave & strong little boy! <3
