"*advertiser censored*Texas A&M University sports reporter has been missing since Saturday after leaving a football camp in Houston, her friends and family say.

Courtney Roland, 29, was last seen about 4:10 p.m. when she left the camp in an Uber, according to a tweet from Team Texas Elite. Her roommate said Roland made it home and then left in her car.

The roommate last heard from Roland around midnight when she sent a text saying she was worried she was being followed from a Walgreens by a man in a blue truck, KPRC-TV reported."

Autumn Vara, Rolands roomate posted the following to facebook Sunday.

""Hi guys, as of 1/7/18 we have filed a missing persons report for Courtney Roland. She was last confirmed seen 1/6/18 at 4 pm leaving football camp in Houston. The last communication was via text at 12:30 am 1/7/18. She was worried that she was being followed by a blue truck leaving Walgreens, location unknown. Last heard wearing Remington hat and camo and in a white Jeep Cherokee. PLEASE SHARE and reach out to any of us or missing persons at 832-394-1840. Prayers out to her family during this difficult time.""

"Roland’s friends say she texted her roommate to say that she had been followed by a “suspicious man” at a Walgreens in the Houston Heights area of the city. Brian Perroni, a recruiting insider for 247Sports, tweeted that Roland, who is believed to be driving her 2015 silver Jeep Cherokee with license plate HZC7778, that Roland was spotted in the Houston Galleria area Sunday afternoon. She was wearing camo fleece with an orange Remington hat."

Snip

"Perroni did not provide any other details, saying he doesn’t want to compromise the open investigation, but said he is with the Roland family. Roland, 29, is a reporter for Rivals’ Texas A&M website,*AggieYell.com."

"Vara told KPRC-TV*that Roland texted her saying the “suspicious man” had followed her home in a blue truck. Roland told Vara she parked in her driveway and the truck looped around and parked behind her. Roland then got out of her Cherokee and the blue truck sped off. Vara told KPRC that she was supposed to meet up with Roland, but she didn’t hear from her again, and hasn’t heard from her since."

"Her Cherokee has a dent on the left side, friends said on Facebook.

Roland was at a tryout for Team Texas Elite, a travel football club, earlier Saturday. The team tweeted about her disappearance on Sunday, writing, “Folks if any had seen Courtney Roland with Rivals we need to know… last seen at TTE tryouts at 4:10 pm.”"

"The tryout was held at The Village School, 2005 Gentryside Drive, in Houston.

The team’s tweet mentions that Roland left in an Uber, but her friends have said she was driving her own SUV, a Jeep Cherokee, when she texted about being followed by a suspicious vehicle. A friend clarified on Twitter that Roland was in the Uber earlier in the day after the tryout, but not when she was last seen."

So, trying to wrap my head around all this, Courtney:

"went missing Saturday after covering Texas elite football camp in the Heights area, her family says."

"she left in an Uber and hasn't been heard from since."

"was last seen around 4 p.m."
"Last seen late evening Jan 6th in the Heights"

"She sent her roommate a text that she was being followed by suspicious man who then followed her in a blue truck."
"According to a Facebook post, She communicated with a friend through text at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday and was worried "that she was being followed by a blue truck leaving Walgreens" but the location is unknown."

Her facebook:
In progress

Do we know that she actually sent the text? I wonder if the blue truck could be a red herring. (Just a random thought at this moment as we are learning new information.)

The truck account is really confusing-- the rest of the info says she arrived home and the blue truck sped off once she got out of her car. Does that mean she saw her roommate she had been texting shortly after that? Or did she and her car disappear after texting all that to her roommate? Did roommate look outside (if they were home)?

Anyone there?

(It's the middle of the night, covering the night shift here with the foundation so you guys should be all set for Monday morning!)

Anyway, yay, I just found what I was looking for, the Walgreens location:

"“She got in an Uber around 4 pm and after that went to a Walgreens on 20th and Yale in her own car around midnight,” her friend, Courtney Cockrell, wrote on Facebook.

Friends had initially believed that the tryout where she was last seen, but new information has indicated that she was in the Houston Galleria area Sunday afternoon."

Ok this says they were supposed to meet up later but didn't, which makes it sound like she didn't see her. So was her roommate not at home? Why would Courtney text all this instead of call someone? Very suspicious if there is no confirmation she ever made it home ...JMO.

Ok, so that would indicate she made it home and inside after the 12:30 AM text about the man in the blue truck. Then she went to the Houston Galleria Sunday afternoon? When was she reported missing?

Was she supposed to meet up with her roommate at another venue that same night? Or should I say morning as it was after midnight. I wonder why she drove home if someone was following her. Ugh. Never a good idea. Any info on whether or not it looks like she made it into her residence?

Hi Margarita, I think we are the only ones here :uthere:

I'm glad you found the above info about her being seen Sunday Afternoon.

Did they mean Saturday?

Surely this is a typo. Or I'm half asleep, which is possible. If I'm having a brainfart here, please disregard, as right now I'm just trying to just post the snippets and help collect the dots before I try to interpret them (as our dear Late Great Foxfire would say, "we need to collect the dots before we can connect the dots"). I'll leave all the interpretation to you guys at this point!

So the roommate was the last to see her. And all information from roommate has been confirmed. Hmmmm

I don't know! This is what it says: "

If I were to do a timeline from just the above it would be:

4 PM Saturday -- Left in an Uber
Late Saturday night/Early Sunday morning (around midnight?) -- Went to Walgreens in her car
12:30 AM Sunday Morning-- text to friend about the man in the blue truck following her home
Sunday Afternoon -- Seen at the Houston Galleria

When was she reported missing? Before or after the sighting at the Houston Galleria?

Does the Houston Galleria have an Apple Store? Is it possible she really did buy a new ipad? Maybe she accidentally destroyed her phone and the weird text to her mom was sent by an employee setting up her new ipad? IDK.
