The Houston Police Department said it is searching for a missing 21-year-old woman who was last seen on Sept. 21 at her job in east Houston.

Authorities are looking for Deundrea Lakelsia Ford. The last place she was spotted was at a club that she worked at in the 11900 block of East Freeway. She was previously wearing a black tank top and tan pants.

Police said a family member dropped her off at her job. She later told her ride home that she was going to be picked up by someone else. Her family has not able to contact her since then.

Family members are asking for help. They said Deundra hadn't been seen since she left an east Houston bikini bar where she worked. They said she left with an unknown man.

The bar manager said they tell employees to not leave with the men they meet inside.

Family members said Deundra had only worked at Diva's Bikini Sports Bar and Grill for a few weeks. It's the last place anyone saw her.

[...]

They said they knew something was wrong when Deundra went days without contacting her 4-year-old son.

[...]

They saw surveillance video from the night she went missing. The bar manager said it was turned over to police.

[...]

Family members said it showed Deundra leaving the bar with a man and getting into a van in the parking lot with him after the bar closed. They stayed in the van for more than an hour.

[...]

One of Deundra's friends missed a call from her around 2 a.m. Friday. Later that day, her phone had been turned off and their calls went straight to voicemail. They said it has been off ever since then.

BC says it’s unlike her granddaughter to disappear for days and leave her four-year-old son behind.

“She’ll call every day and talk to him if she is not here,” said BC.

“To our knowledge, no one has spoken with her, so we all began the tedious process of trying to get in contact with her. No one has had any success. Her phone is going directly to voicemail,” said KC, Deundrea’s uncle.

[...]

“We were able to retrieve surveillance video of her leaving in a white van with someone, an individual we don’t know,” KC said.

According to KC, the video is considered sensitive to the investigation, and police are following leads from it to find Deundrea.

Deundrea Ford was last seen Thursday, Sept. 21 leaving Divas Bikini Bar & Grillwith a man in a white van.

Carriere said Ford was staying at her friend's house that week. The friend, Carriere said, received a phone call from Ford around 2 a.m. the night she went missing, but her friend was asleep.

"The next morning she saw she had a missed call from [Ford], but she couldn't get in touch with her," Carriere said. "If they have her phone, they turned off her location."

Nobody heard from her after that," Carriere said.

"We ended up calling the police," Carriere said.

"I just hope that if anyone has her they release her and let her come home. We just want her home," Deundra's grandmother, Bridgette Carriere, said.

"I'm confident that something's not right. This is not her normal behavior," her uncle, Kevin Carriere, said.

Family members said it showed Deundra leaving the bar with a man and getting into a van in the parking lot with him after the bar closed. They stayed in the van for more than an hour.

"She entered the vehicle with him. Whether she left with him willingly or unwillingly that's something that we can't answer," Kevin Carriere said.

"Her phone has not been powered back on. There's been no reception and no direct contact with her," Kevin Carriere said.

Such a pretty young woman, and a mom too, so my heart breaks for her worried family. I'm thinking the photo at the beginning of the thread with the darker hair and the fuller face likely resembles her more now than the other photos with the blonder hair. At 5 foot 4 and 170 pounds, which was what was reported, her face would more likely be a little bit fuller.

Surveillance footage from Sept. 21 captured her talking to a man and a woman at the bar, then leaving with the man in a white van, according to the Houston Chronicle. She was in the van for more than an hour before it drove off at 2:30 a.m.,
[snip]
She was last seen wearing a black tank top and tan pants, police said. Anyone with information about Ford’s whereabouts is asked to contact Houston police at 832-394-1840.

nothing new at this article from today :(

It would be nice to see a photo of the van and person she left with (unless I missed it?). Any idea why they wouldn't show that to the public at this point?
and be looking for that person as a "potential witness" (POI being a tag I doubt they would want to use)?

My guess is, they are tracking (or have already) that person down and looking at that individual's digital data. Or attempting toe get a warrant to do just that.

I'd guess that they have ID-d the person and the car and have their own processes ongoing.
I wonder if there is still a tiny hope that she is alive? And/or that the driver might be too dangerous to alert the public?

Ugh, that must be hard for the family. In my mind, time is of the essence. But I'm sure LE have their reasons and obviously know a lot more than they are sharing.

I sure hope they do. This case reminds me a little of Allisha Watts in how little the family is being told. All the while LE was looking at James Dunmore's digital footprint via phone and her vehicle which eventually led them to her body.

I hope our collective guts are wrong and Deundrea turns up safe somewhere. But this case doesn't have a good feel to it.

No, it really doesn't. :(

This case is very reminiscent of the Felicia Johnson case, which also happened in Houston. Felicia was from out of town and had allegedly come to Houston to dance. She was last spotted leaving a club. It later turned out she'd set up a "date" with a potential client, and he murdered her.

I am so worried that this case will have a similar outcome.

The missed phone call to a friend was reportedly made "around 2am", so sounds like she called while still in the van at the parking lot.
