Court documents said police were able to identify Washington as a suspect in the case from credit card information used at the bar and grill from the night Ford disappeared. They were also able to view surveillance video which showed Ford and Washington getting into the van.

Washington was later located in Virginia after deputies in Amhearst County received an alert that the white Ford Transit van was connected to Ford’s disappearance. During an interview, Washington admitted, according to court documents, that he had met Ford inside the club and the two spent time together in his van before he dropped her off.

The documents said authorities obtained a search warrant for the van and found the clothing that Washington was seen wearing on the surveillance video the night Ford disappeared. The clothing appeared to have blood stains on it. Using a special chemical, authorities also found blood stains that illuminated in the middle and rear of the van as well as a rear door, the driver’s side wall, and on a ratchet strap to tie down cargo.

Court documents also said DNA evidence from the blood stains showed a mixture of Ford’s DNA and Washington’s DNA on three of the stains found on Washington’s shirt.

I'm so glad her family received answers and prayerfully her remains will be located soon.

I'm sure police departments are checking their records for cases he may be involved in. I wonder if the other assaults occurred prior to her going missing?

This article stated that it is alleged that Washington paid Ms. Ford $200 for sex. Although the murder inquiry she got caught up in as a witness involved she and another woman engaging in prostitution, I personally don't think that murder case is related to this case. Mr. Washington is a known predator who has exhibited violence towards women in the sex industry and in more than one state. I feel for any young woman that feels she has to do that to survive but it does not give the man the right to harm her and I hope justice is swift. Key witness in murder was killed by man with history of violence against women: Cops

Police in Houston, Texas, say that a missing woman -- the key witness in a murder -- died in an apparently unrelated homicide at the hands of a man who had a history of violence against sex workers.

“The defendant’s data from the Walmart where he went immediately after the complainant’s disappearance indicate that he may have approached several large dumpsters at that location, so it is possible that he placed the body of Deundrea Ford in one of those dumpsters or dumpsters at another location, which would explain why her body has not yet been found,” documents state.

Cops said that when they managed to track down Washington, he admitted paying Ford $200 via Cash App for sex. Police later confirmed a payment that happened after midnight on Sept. 22, 2023.
