I can’t see any mention of this at all... not even on Hidalgo Co social media which I have been able to find several UIDs on.

A juvenile walking in the area of Ivy Lane and Wendy Lane came upon what appeared to be a human skull in the dirt.

Police responded to the scene and discovered human skeletal remains.

The remains were found Sunday, April 30th. There is a NAMUS case in San Antonio for that date without any details of where found other than San Antonio: https://identifyus.org/en/cases/16697
Could the remains have been sent to SA/Bexar county for some reason? or could NAMUS have entered the wrong city/county? Were there two sets of Skeletal
remains found on April 30, 2017?

If I've learned one thing on WS...it's that anything is possible. The two counties (Hidalgo and Bexar) appear to be approximately 3 hours from each other. However, if Hidalgo county is mostly rural then it would not surprise me that remains may be sent to SA for examination and identification.

For some reason I had it in my head that these remains were male so I searched only for males, thus I didn't find the Namus profile. Thanks Gardener!!

If that is the case, then the Namus profile is entered poorly with very little detail.....sigh....

Thanks KJ's Mamu. I tried to search for news of a case found in San Antonio in April 30 2017 and did not find anything. Of course that doesn't mean anything-- this could be a separate case from the same date that was never reported in the media. Sigh is right. So little info. :sigh:

I just realized I made a thread for the above NAMUS case and they were in fact found in Bexar County, not Edinburg. The address was given in a news story. See the thread here: https://www.websleuths.com/forums/s...nkRaceFem-13-20-Small-Found-in-Ditch-Apr-2017

These locations are not even close to one another: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Wen...f1345d6f33053c!2m2!1d-98.3890638!2d29.3428188

So my conclusion is that these are two sets of remains found on the same day but this one doesn't have a NAMUS file yet. :(

Could contact be made with investigators? Does anyone have a contact?

How do these stories just die off? How can there be no updates? Trying to identify these people is pretty much impossible because there is just not enough information out there.
