Awesome news - Eileen has been found safe...she's in Vega, TX - which is in the panhandle close to Amarillo....that's a long ways from Dallas - almost 400 miles...she was released by captors 11:45 last nite

I happened to catch the live presser @ 5 a.m. w/ Double Oak Police Chief.

After she left work, Eileen was hit from behind around 1:30 a.m on FM 407 - about 4-6 blocks from her home.

There were 3 males in the car that hit her...She pulled over & got out to exchange insurance info, she used her cellphone to called home, left VM at home...3 males rushed her- took her hostage...2 stayed w/ her in the car...made her withdraw $ from ATMs.

Then the 2 male perps had her drive to NM...released her & her car - she drove back to TX & contacted DPS in Vega TX.

The police chief said that one of the perps is arrested & in Denton Co. jail (thanks to an officer that made a traffic stop in Double Oak & ended up getting info)...that perp is Matthew Casaus, 23, who is RSO from NM - recently moved to TX...the police chief said he confessed to the kidnapping...Eileen was not sexually assaulted.

TX Rangers, TX DPS, and Dallas PD assisted Double Oak PD.

Bless her heart - what an ordeal!

Not sure how I missed the bolded part earlier. This woman is lucky she wasn't assaulted. I'm guessing this is the guy (hopefully it wil show up).

Yes - she is so lucky!

Turns out Casaus was the guy in the car that got pulled over by LE traffic stop...in presser chief said a car was pulled over because driver was driving erratically...apparently after they triangulated the cellphone call, they went back to Casaus & he told LE what happened...I missed the part in the presser where the chief said it was Casaus that was the one in the car...I was wondering how they had caught him but not the other 2.

Then, after Casaus got out of the car and stayed back, the other two men forced Loskot to drive about 500 miles to New Mexico, where they set her free.
.............
Police say a cell phone call that Loskot managed to make to her home phone number as she was being abducted helped them crack the case.
.............
In fact, that cell phone call helped police pinpoint suspect Casaus, who had been pulled over in Double Oak for a minor traffic violation not long after the call. After police used cell phone technology to triangulate the phone's position, they contacted him again, and he confessed to taking part in the kidnapping.

Does this mean that he had possession of her phone? Is that what they're trying to say here?

Hmmm...either he was in possession of her cell phone or he had damage to the front of his car, maybe?

Reading it again, it sounds like he had her cell.

This scenario has been played out in Memphis for years...deliberately bumping into someone's car, forcing them to stop and grabbing them when they get out or open their window to exchange information.

Remain in your vehicle, folks! Keep doors locked, windows up, dial 911 and keep your eye on the people in the other vehicle. If anyone approaches your car, drive off! You can explain to the police why you are moving away from the scene. (Note: driving off should not be a problem. Rarely do these folks hit the car hard enough to disable it, as they want to use it to get to the ATMs).

I think they triangulated the call that Eileen made then put 2+2 together later w/ the traffic stop in the same area....at least, that's what I got out of it.

Here's another article

Shortly after the alleged abduction, a Double Oak police officer wrote a traffic ticket to a man driving a blue Toyota, who later turned out to be a suspect in the crime. At the time of the ticket, however, the officer had no way of knowing about the alleged abduction.
................
During the day, police tracked the driver of the blue Toyota to a Dallas address. After Loskot was located in the Panhandle, police used the information about the Toyota’s driver to find and arrest him.

Very good news!
I am glad to see that my crazy theories are not panning out. In these cases, I am very glad to be wrong!

Nathaniel Williams, 17, and Edward Muckelroy Jr., 19 turned themselves in to the FBI in Albuquerque.

And here's more on how Casaus was linked to Eileen's kidnapping

According to an affidavit by Tracy Murphree of the Texas Rangers, Double Oak police stopped Casaus about 1:35 a.m. Police believe Loskot was kidnapped about 1:30. The affidavit says a Double Oak officer questioned and released Casas after seeing him parked near a water tower.

According to the affidavit, the officer said a red two-door car parked near Casas' 1993 Toyota "took off through a ditch" when the officer approached in his squad car. Casaus told the officer that his nephew was driving the red car and was "taking his grandmother home after drinking."

The affidavit says Casaus was linked to the kidnapping after a bank surveilance video showed Loskot, in the company of at least one other person, withdrawing cash from an ATM at a bank in Cedar Hill.

I'm soooooooooo glad she's okay!!! And I hope we've all learned a valuable lesson. I know I'll be having a chat with both my kids about how not to become a victim in this way!

glad she's ok and will be home with her family for the holidays, although I'm sure she'll be incredibly traumatized and not able to enjoy herself as she would normally

Wow. And to most of us, 5 minutes seems like nothing. So close.

Here's a new article from KDAF...not much new...I didn't know she had been locked in the trunk of her car while being driven to New Mexico, then set free.

(I am unable to view the video....aging laptop....grrr)

The poor lady. Can't imagine what was going through her mind. And geez, these guys were kids. I really hope they never had it in them to harm her and just made an idiotic decision.

I don't know about that older one though.

I guess something good came out of this - Casaus the sex offender was living "less than 50 feet away" from an elementary school...hopefully he gets charged with violating probation/parole for that.

From March 2012:

http://www.dentonrc.com/local-news/local-news-headlines/20120322-jury-doles-out-term.ece

The third man to face trial in the robbery and kidnapping of Eileen Loskot was sentenced to 60 years in prison Thursday on each of two counts. Matthew Casaus, 24, was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. He changed his plea to guilty after a jury was chosen Monday in 362nd District Court...

Nathaniel Williams and Edward Muckelroy exited the car in Albuquerque and told Loskot not to call police until she crossed into Texas. They then surrendered to the FBI.

Williams, now 18, was standing trial on the charges in August when he abruptly changed his plea to guilty and asked a jury to assess punishment for his part in the kidnapping and robbery. That jury assessed 35 years for each sentence, to be served concurrently.

Muckelroy, 20, was sentenced to 30 years for each charge in a plea bargain Jan. 19.
