Well the legal limit in TX is .08, so .3 would be very very drunk, IMO

Elizabeth's BAC was 0.36 according to the article I posted below. Does anybody know how drunk that is?

(although the ME's report says 0.317)

Yes, a person would be very, very drunk with that much alcohol in their system. It could even be enough to make a person very near death.

But how did her car catch on fire?

How strange...I do know that a car can catch on fire and it escalate very quickly, I had a friend who was riding with his g/f who said she smelled smoke, they pulled over and within moments of getting out the car was completely engulfed and burnt to its frame before the firetruck even got there. This was due to faulty repair work, but still, I guess fires can really spread quickly. Still seems odd to me.

I'm wondering if someone followed her from the Tom Thumb store, and possibly made her pull over for some reason.

Where the Tom Thumb store is at, Would she have to drive past the hair salon where she worked in order to get home?

The Tom Thumb and salon are in the same shopping area. You can park your car
and walk to either place. Tom Thumb is the anchor store with other
shops around it.

Maybe the car began to smoke and she became disoriented?
