Here's JD compared to the three main Chinese phenotypes. IMO she resembles the Changkiangid the most.

The white female, in her 30s, was discovered by a 16-year-old Spring, Texas, boy who was flying his kite. Police said the youth's kite got stuck in shrubbery near a nature trail about 2 p.m.

The youth contacted a park ranger after he saw a woman's leg sticking out of a trash bag white searching for his kite. The ranger contacted Galveston police, Lt. W. A. Dagg said.

A woman whose decapitated body was found in Galveston Island State Park Friday was stabbed to death, the county medical examiner has ruled.

The cause of death was a stab wound to the heart, Bess Leveque of the medical examiner's office said. The woman also suffered three other stab wounds to the upper middle chest.

A police report said the woman had injuries to her hand and finger. Ms. Leveque said these were possible defensive wounds.

"No new leads reported in headless body probe," Galveston Daily News, 5 April 1988, 9A.

The body was found about 2 p.m. near a nature trail by a teen-ager who ventured into some dense scrub growth to retrieve his kite.

Galveston Detective Sgt. Leo Singleton said police believe the woman's body, which was found wrapped in trash bags, had been dumped in the area two or three days earlier, after she was killed someplace else.

Thank you for the clippings. Reading them it comes to me that this is a woman with Asian ancestry looking mostly Caucasian? Also it feels like the head may still be out there. As an aside; Interesting how they looked at AIDS in those days.

[QUOTE - Thank you for the clippings. Reading them it comes to me that this is a woman with Asian ancestry looking mostly Caucasian?]

I guess without a head they were missing the most obvious marker of being Asian. Many east Asians have very white skin.

Oops. There I think you make a very good point that I didn't think of.
