This sounds crazy but maybe someone was driving by saw him walking near the crash or even caused the crash and told him to get in the vehicle at gun point or even to take his clothes off. Just thinking of possible scenarios. MOO
I know... I have thought of that also
Road rage, or just an accident, but said, hey...get in...I will take you to wherever... and then... poof .. gone.
Or someone that saw him walking and offered a ride, but with nefarious intentions.
I agree==== anything is possible as we just don't know.

Seems JL's vehicle was moved to the later live auction on Feb 20, 2021.

Internet Auction
I guess I am surprised that they let it go to auction so soon.
I mean, it could be part of a crime scene, maybe not, but still... it just surprises me. Maybe LE has all the info they need from the car. But I have watched trials where the jury was TAKEN outside to view the vehicle so maybe I am overthinking this. JMO

I mean, he could. Yeah, but this is Texas and if a homeowner shot him they would have called LE most likely. In Texas you can shoot an intruder to protect your home. And most Texans I know would have zero issues admitting they shot someone trying to break in or they felt threatened by.
Same here in Michigan.. you can shoot intruder IF they are inside your home.
If they are on your property, trying to get in or trying to steal /break into your garage or if they are OUTSIDE your home....you better not shoot to protect your property or kiddos...you will be put in prison. Especially if you shoot at them while they are running off your property after trying to break in.

On the Missing JL page, the person who runs the page said the car was sent to auction as the police are done processing it and the impound yard fees were racking up.

[I'm pretty sure the family is running it, as they mention that anyone can msg them to talk to the hired PI's, but not 100% confirmed]

Ahhh --OK..that is what I thought... LE must have gotten what they needed, I would hope or they would not let it auction off.
Thank you for the info :)

Seems the side effects of Fentanyl receive little attention because this stuff actually kills you, and fast. Fentanyl is 50 times stronger than heroin, and potentially lethal in doses of 2.5 milligrams.

TV Dr. Laura Bernman's 16-year-old son was found last Sunday on his bedroom floor where his death was attributed to a fentanyl overdose. It's believed he bought drugs laced with fentanyl using an app on his phone.

He most likely ingested what he thought were legitimate opioid tablets when, in fact, they were counterfeit drugs — laced with other toxic drugs, like fentanyl, which is 50-100 times more potent than morphine.

Dr. Laura Berman says son died of overdose on drugs bought on social media
I'm telling ya...this stuff is dangerous.
We have lost quite a few younger people here in our little community due to this.
Plus a lot in the county due to this, and one close to home.
Purchasing a recreational drug that someone has occasionally taken before, but apparently not knowing where it was originally purchased, and it is laced with fentanyl, which kills them.
Some die instantly, some after awhile of ingesting it.
It can be put into weed, xanax, norco, cocaine, heroin, anything .. that is what is so scary.
It is so sad.

KL shared that the fees for each day the car sat at the lot was adding up so it only made sense to auction it.
