I have great respect for our Sheriff. This is his first term so he is fairly new to the job, but is very kind and considerate. He is a very good person and wants the best for everyone involved. I feel you are in good hands with him.

There is also a very large wind farm south of Abilene on Highway 277. It used to be the largest in the world but that is no longer true. I would assume his employer would have known if he was doing anything associated with any of those particular wind turbine companies? Or could he possibly know someone who worked for one of those companies and was on the way to them? That would have been the road to take to get there if he was heading to the wind farms south of Abilene.

Thank you you for that info I will pass it on!

If the car was running and in drive, what kept it from moving forward? Was it up against something? I am blonde so bear with me here!

I was wondering the same thing, and i'm a bleached blonde! lol
So don't feel bad!!

I wonder if he could have been hog hunting on private property. What if someone shot him dead and drove his car to the highway and left it.

I remembered the Brandon Nichol case so I looked it up again. He was working in the Oil industry and disappeared about 2.5 hours NE of Joseph. There's talk of his case being linked to the Miller/Hayes case. Would be nice if the Sherrif would look into possible individuals still out there that could possibly be linked to Joseph's case.

2.5 hours NE of where Joseph's car was found is very close to where Joseph was working! He worked in Seymore. I am not familiar with the Brandon Nichol case. I will have to go read some and see what I find! Also the Miller/Hayes case too! Thank you holmesleuthing.

That scenario immediately came to mind when I read he might have gone hog hunting.

Thank you again for all the tips and true concerns you all have shown to our family. I wish I could share more information with you all! But to protect his children and my mom who is 81 years old, I feel very protective, but just let me say your radar has been spot on! For what ever that is worth to you! it so comforting that we still have people in our world that care! love you all for your time!! Joseph's sister Sharon

If they found out whos prints are in Joes car they might get a better picture.

Of course this I'm sure has crossed our minds but I myself will not give up hope for Joes safe return !!!

Nothing new in MSM that I can find. I hope LE has leads to follow. Prayers for Joe and his family!

Why is this so quiet?

Are any searches planned?

Is anyone out there looking for this man?

I do NOT think he just walked away! something happened!

I am in DFW and would be willing to come out there and help search if a search is organized. Please keep us updated!

It really doesn't make much sense to drive to the other side of Abilene to hog hunt. To me, the hog hunting theory really holds no merit, some of the best hog hunting in the state is a few miles from Seymour near the Brazos river, and many of the landowners will gladly allow you to shoot hogs that are tearing up their crops.
I think the key is the cell phone records, particularly what time of the day or night the towers were pinged and where. Were there any outgoing calls or texts? To/from, when and where. From the description of the area and damage to the vehicle described by the Trooper, it is possible he fell asleep at the wheel and had a minor accident, striking a few trees. Even low speed crashes can cause head injuries that cause a change in cognition. This specific part of Texas is pretty rough and getting lost in the woods in June through August can be deadly.

Has anyone seen an aeriel view of where his car was actually found please? Does anyone know what is in the very surrounding area? I'm presuming at this stage it was Joseph who got out of the car there but where did he go to from there. If he'd have walked further on up the highway can't imagine why no one saw him but if he walked away from either side of that road, what is actually there? Are there houses, shops, fields, forest? Did he know anyone who lived near there. Sorry for all the questions, I'm just concerned as to what has happened to him.

BBM & UBM

I don't recall seeing anything on a description of the damage to the vehicle. Would you be able to point me to where that information can be found?

1. I think there are better places to hog hunt than south of Abilene also.
2. The cell phone records I think are vital too. They hold a very good story to what happened to Joseph.
3. I too have not seen a description of any damage to the vehicle from a trooper, except the vehicle left the highway at a very slow rate of speed.
4. I am very familiar with this particular part of Texas and yes it is rough terrain, but on a very busy highway where he could have obtained help by a passerby within a few minutes at any particular part of the
day or night. Plenty of homes along the route and plenty of traffic along that highway. I personally do not believe Joseph was driving the car at that point. JMO
