Missouri City woman hasn't talked to family in 10 days. They say she could die without her medicine

Karen Miles, 61, was last seen around noon on Aug. 22 in the 10000 block of South Sam Houston Parkway, according to DPS.

Police said they found her car in Pearland but there were no signs of Karen. The man who was driving her car was taken into custody but it's unclear if he knew her or if he's a suspect in her disappearance. Investigators are checking her car for clues that could help authorities find her.

"Everyone is thinking that maybe she was driving her car and she had a medical incident with her diabetes and may have passed out and veered off the road," Patricia (her sister) said.

Family members are staying positive. They said Karen is a social butterfly who's a member of the Black Heritage Society with RodeoHouston.

Miles is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

• In addition to being diabetic, Karen also has high blood pressure.
• Her sister says Karen needs to take 3 shots a day or she risks going into a diabetic coma or passing out.

'Please have a heart' | Family of missing Missouri City woman make plea to bring her home

Karen Miles has been missing for for two weeks. Community activists are calling for more to be done to bring her home.

We asked, but police won't tell us what that man is charged with or if they think he had anything to do with miles' disappearance, but here's what her sister has to say to whoever knows what happened.

“If you know something, please say something,” said Patricia Evans, Karen Miles’ sister. “If you are the perpetrator who removed Karen from her car, I ask you to have a heart and let us know where she is so we can bring her back home. She has children, siblings and we love our sister. I'm asking to please have a heart and please get her back to her family."

Man found driving vehicle of woman who's been missing for 2 weeks out of Missouri City, police say

Karen Miles was last seen on Aug. 21 but reported missing eight days later. Now, her friends and family are growing concerned after a man was reportedly found driving her car with stolen plates from Arkansas.

Police say a Flock camera picked up Davante Clark driving the car with stolen plates from Arkansas.

The car was later found at 2805 Business Center in the H-E-B parking lot. Pearland police told ABC13 they waited for Clark to leave the parking lot before performing a traffic stop.

Miles' family said they'd never seen Clark before.

Family searching for missing loved one Karen Miles

A Houston family has been searching for their missing loved one Karen Miles and FOX 26's Denise Middleton reports on the new evidence suggesting foul play.

• Texas Equusearch is waiting for any information about Karen's whereabouts so they can help bring her home.
• Friends and family have not seen or heard from her since Wed, Aug 21. They say she went to work that day and later showed up at her line-dance class which she normally attends on Tues and Thurs. (According to her family, she showed up on the wrong day.)
• Karen's cell phone was found inside her car after the man who was driving it with stolen plates was arrested. The cell phone has not produced any leads so far.

Police told the outlet that surveillance footage captured a man driving the vehicle, which was also found to have stolen plates from Arkansas. The car was eventually located in the parking lot of an H-E-B grocery store, where local police conducted a traffic stop.

The man, who was a fugitive at the time of his arrest, faces charges for evading arrest in both Harris County and Brazoria County, but none directly related to Miles' disappearance, the outlet reported. During questioning, Clark reportedly told investigators he did not know Miles.

Police are examining her car for any clues that could lead them to her whereabouts, but they have not disclosed further details, according to Eyewitness News.

Bolling described Miles as someone who "gives so much, she's constantly volunteering."

"(She) is light, and so, this feels dark because we don't know where she is," Bolling told Eyewitness News.
