Don't want to be graphic but in these temperatures it would surely smell quickly ...

I totally agree and that's why I'm perplexed! He went missing 8 days ago. So in a small lot under some brush he passed and wasn't discovered for a week. So sad. This isn't a rural area.

This case is very odd. I agree a person being in this heat for 8 days should even have the neighbors questioning the smell. I am just curious why he was under the bushes to begin with.

Maybe they weren't aware of a missing person from the area and bought it was an animal ? I'm going to venture to guess the smell is how he was discovered.

So sad and perplexing. Also, the body was discovered late at night (11:30 pm) which would be extra scary for a homeowner. Wonder what made than look at that hour. Maybe someone who was walking their dog was alerted?

Could have been the smell. (Sorry)!!! That is something that permeates even through your home, if the bush was close enough.

Even though he's been found there's still zero news! Makes me sad that he suffered through whatever he was suffering from and is just a blip on the Rafa of our media. RIP Ken. Prayers to your family and loved ones.

So many men in that age group committing suicide lately :( :(

His house was 3 minutes walking to where his body was found. The house is a corner lot. Go figure

So did he have a medical issue and fell there? Or did he go hide and commit suicide? Has it been stated and I missed it? TIA

I wonder how their marriage was doing. My husband wears earphones to tune me out and listen to Alex Jones. I also wonder if Mr. Draper was of a religious persuasion that believes that the eclipse meant some end time Christian stuff. My husband thinks that this past eclipse means it is some fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Something about Revelations and astrology. Husband thinks something "Big" is going to happen on Sept. 28. I wonder if Mr. Draper was scared of the eclipse.

I didn't find anything at the link. It says I need a case#. Do they know the manner of death?

The case number is 1712948. Also, you can search by the date his body was found 8/17/17. The manner and cause are both pending.

A Father who hasn't spoken with a son in 10 years indicates to me that there was a great deal of unhappiness and unresolved conflicts.

Agreed.

So sad to log in and check this thread... to see "Found Deceased". :(

I suspect suicide.
If that is the cod---- Hope there was a note left somewhere for the family.

However, the links said there was no foul play suspected.
Could also be a heart attack or something like that.

But the fact he was under a bush makes me think he was hiding from people.
There are a lot more remote places than that, though.

Rest in peace, sir.

Sleeping pill, pain pill, and an anti-anxiety pill.......
Not uncommon to have all three. I am wondering why he would take a sleeping pill and go outside.

Ambien is known to cause sleep walking...

Sounds like an overdose. Did he have back/neck issues? Was he seeing a pain management specialist? Did he have any back or neck surgery? These are all medications a lot of general practice doctors will not prescribe together. We may never know RIP Mr. Draper.
