“Let’s rewind to the day prior, moments before she vanished. Lauren Thompson and her mother shared a phone call. “The day she contacted my wife, immediately prior to the 911 call, she was excited and lucid and able to reason,” said Gregory.”

Excited about what?
Coming to see her children? A new job?

Lucid and able to reason?
Huh?
I've always taken that he meant "excited" as in she was worried but not yet in a panic. I think things escalated rapidly, and I do think she was ambushed by these other people. The 911 operator said she could tell Lauren was running. So much of the story about her being freaked out was told by the three people she was with which included the woman who sideswiped her vehicle and ran her off the road. I would be our of my mind with fear and would probably be running blindly through the woods and be incohert, too. Frankly, when her mother said she gasped at the end of the 911 call, I think they caught her and took her phone.

Hopefully, I can answer you with this:

I think when it comes to missing persons/anything for that matter -the hardest thing to do is to actually put yourself in the person's shoes. People say they do, but I don't think it's that easy. When it comes to Lauren, her mother knows her best. Just from that 1 news piece a lot of information I gather. I look at the details, the smallest speck. I see her mothers broken heart and concern. I see LE speaking as if he's ordering from a menu, using words to downplay things is something real LE doesn't do.

Lauren's mom wants to say more than she is saying. I will bet off camera she says a lot more. I wish she would come on and speak everything she thinks and feels.

Lauren told her mother to tell her family, her children, she loved them and she was sorry. Can you imagine being Lauren at that moment in time what would make her say such things? For me, it's because she got caught up in something bad and is sorry for being so stupid and now it will cost her everything/her life and it will hurt those who love her, that's why she is sorry.

I think this case is one I messaged with yellowtape. I will have to double check before speaking further.

Back to her mother, her mother said the people are related to law enforcement. Although, this Detective says the case went to Texas Rangers, it's still LE it's still the Blue Shield. The Blue Shield protects their own even when wrong, sad but true. I'm dealing with my own mess and see how hard that shield really is!

I'd love to hear everything from her mother and then form a plan to find out what really happened to Lauren and where she is.

I hope I answered you?
The LE that was accused of covering for a relative was a Karen Jannise conspiracy and that person was not on the scene when LE arrived. If the LE was related to the others, it was like 5th cousins or so by marriage. The person that JK names had a criminal history with convictions in Panola County. So did the guy and 2 women with him. LE relationships have 't helped in the past. I know some of their family members and they are em arrassed but them and don't associate with them.

I'm assuming a long time means before 2019 and longer?
No way to say, but I would take that to mean a season or two...long enough that no signs remain of the soil or vegetation being disturbed around the body. Of course LE is being purposely vague which is understandable until they get more information.

Thompson’s father, Greg Colvin, says remains were found in a wooded area back in July and they were asked to send in orthodontic records. Now, he says another holiday is going by and the case is going cold.

“It’s going on four years now. The case is ongoing and if you will, for lack of better words, the investigation has become dormant. It’s not on anyone’s actions or inactions. It’s just become dormant because of the lack of information and evidence thus far. It’s emotionally draining,” said Colvin.

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office says there are no new details on this case. If you have any information, please contact police at (903) 693-0333.

Family of missing woman still searching for answers 4 years later

The family of Lauren Thompson is still holding out hope for answers four years after the disappearance of their loved one.

Still no answers, although her remains were found I hope her family has some amount of closure, however. Many questions do remain. But, I wonder what made the family decide to ask for release of the 9-11 call and other records according to this news story pertaining to Lauren?
This is before the identification of her remains to be that of Lauren. The remains were found not far from where her car was found. So it apears Lauren didn't go far. Was the area her remains were found in searched already?

I thought the area where she went missing was private land and that was part of the issue with searches?
Curious what kind of work crew was in the middle of a wooded area? Right of way?
Where she went missing...or maybe I should say, where her car was found, was on private property. Where she was found was on private property. The property owners had no problem with law enforcement searching. This "psychic" who has never solved a crime but has created chaos in everything she touches, wanted to search and organize a search party. They had some serious criminal histories. That's who they didn't want searching on their property and I don't blame the . They created so much chaos and interfered with the investigation. On our property (I live in Panola County), the County trims and mows brush off the sides of county roads and they patch the roads. Electric lines and right of ways are maintained by the electric company. There are lots of homes in the area. She was found somewhere south of where the car, shoe and pings from phone were. I think she was snatched and carried elsewhere. Then at a later time her body was dumped there to look like, she was overlooked.

Thanks for posting, IMO information that locals share can help non locals understand the local terrain and other features of the area that may give us a clearer picture of Lauren's last sighting. MOO.

I live here. There is very possibly a serial killer in this area I'm not 100% sure but I'd bet money on it. In the next county and Parish (louisiana has parishes) there been a number of women that where reported missing under mysterious circumstances and always found in or near a body of water. LE refuses to even entertain the idea that there is an active SK.
