Lamesa/Dawson County is less than an hour and a half from Maegan's last known whereabouts.

A "west Lubbock" apartment complex (location where her car was found) would certainly be on the route from Smyer to Lamesa (Dawson County).

According to the news release, at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, the Dawson County Sheriff's office received a call from a local resident stating he had found what he believed to be human remains.

Deputies who responded to the call located skeletal human remains and what Parchman said was a “grave site.”

He described the location only as being on farmland in western Dawson County.

It is believed that skeletal remains found on June 29 in Dawson County are those of 31-year-old Patricia Rodriquez of Lamesa.

Do we know how Michael Ramsey knew Maegan (assuming her did know her before the night she went missing?).

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office is explaining why they're now the lead investigators into the case of a missing Smyer woman.
