I have a theory that he may not have done it, he stayed there though. The having to go home sick and all. Iirc, upthread, there was a time period where BB was home at the same time as M, prior to flying out that morning. She may have passed on his watch, but what if he wasn't the one who actually hurt her? Just a side theory that I've got.

I'm starting to wonder about the same possibility ...

I was listening to the last interview again for whole another reason but found this. Maybe this was talked about already, but is new to me. Here, BB and Q concede both Maliah and BB were at the apartment before BB left for the airport, except BB didn't know Maliah was there.

If true, this will be easy for LE to verify. The attendance & sign in/out logs at the daycare, as well as his timecards at work will prove this out. This will be part of a probable cause document too as it would speak to motive if he killed her. At this point I'm taking everything these two are saying with a glacier sized chunk of salt ...

Wow. That's a long time. Super interesting but I wonder what prompted the change in stance on that particular date.

She changed her story too many times regarding whether she was aware of DV's abusive behavior or not. Too late to go back to 'I never knew' (her current claim).

I have a feeling that BB will be charged with child endangerment. Probably serve some time too.

I think you're right. And I hope you're right. She needs some time.

I think it's also possible that she may have had marks or bruises or something they did not want anyone to see, and that's why she was kept home. Imo

Very likely. My guess is this was a systematically abused child, over a long period of time.

As of the emergency hearing held on Wednesday, May 10, the older brother has been placed with an aunt (his father CD's sister), while the younger brother is with his paternal grandmother. This is the same hearing where it was determined that BB and DV could have no contact with their children (BB denied this was true a day or so later though).

Little brother does attend the same daycare as stated a few posts ago. He attended daycare on Friday, May 3 because DV picked up him with no sign of Maleah. He MAY have attended throughout the week but we don't have info about that as of now. I would love to know.

It's been said before, but I sure hope someone very skilled and compassionate is speaking with the 5 year old brother about everything he knows.

I can’t help going back to the fact that abuse and neglect can result in death even if murder wasn’t the intention. A child left alone, medical advice for a child not being followed, physical or sexual abuse can all end that way. MOO and speculation.

At first I thought maybe she was sick and was not given medical attention. DV may have text BB and told her MD was ill. Still no medical attention. As a result she died in DV care.lMO.

Yes totally agree. In DVs pictures he looks like hes guilty.

It's a cash bond of forty five thousand dollars.. Him or someone would have to come up that much cash to get him out. I don't see anyone from his family or friends jumping through hoops to get him out.

I posted my reply assuming it was $4500 not $45,000, as it says. My mistake. Although some must be willing to jump some hoops, as the net nuts have created some donation funds for him. Not that he is aware of this or not, or would accept this or not. Such bizarre people who come out of the wood work to "lend a hand" in a case like this. Scary.

Yes. She should have been. That is the point of wearing it, in case she fell while playing or hit her head or had a seizure and fell.
I wonder where the heck that thing is. Maybe they lost it. Imo

Yes, it’s coming out that she was home when MD got there, which I don’t think anyone doubted but you know, the photo of them walking in together is VERY telling. If I was trying to “sneak” my 4 year old anywhere, it sure wouldn’t involve letting him trail 30 steps behind me while I strolled into the apartment I was wanting to “sneak” him into. Come on, Q... you can do better than that.MOO

Yeah I'm still not getting the helmet thing really either. We've never seen her wearing it, yet from what it sounds like in earlier discussions, a state subsidized day care would want her in it daily for liabilities. Another thing I just don't get. It it just coincidence the photos we happen to be shown don't have the helmet in them? Possibly true.

I have so many questions. And many I hope to hear information about from the day care. They seem to have built a relationship with Maleah. Did they see any signs of frequent physical abuse? Did they see any signs of sexual abuse? Did the teachers/workers get a sense of what kind of parents she had? What answers were they given if Maleah was often not in attendance? Who brought her each day typically? So many questions... It'll have to wait until trial time it looks like.

QX is a PR person and uses words that are “impactful”, even if they aren’t literally correct. IMO he is saying that DV lied - he brought Maleah back to the apartment but told BB that he was dropping her at daycare. DV might of thought that BB had already left for the airport when he brought Maleah back, so he didn’t feel the need to physically hide her return and just casually walked to the door with her trailing behind.

This is not defending BB or QX, just noting that his words shouldn’t be taken so literally. Hopefully there will be more arrests soon and we’ll find out what really happened that day. I’m sure there are a lot more videos that we haven’t seen.

Praying that Maleah is found soon and justice will be served.

Aren’t daycare teachers and staff mandatory reporters? If the saw signs of abuse they are required to report it. I’d also like to hear from the daycare staff and other people outside the family about what they observed. As you said, we’ll just have to wait until the truth comes out.

I also think it’s odd that there are no pictures of her with the helmet. Maybe she was required to wear it after the first surgery last August, but not after the second surgery this year?

There is a reason that the times for the flight are not being communicated. IMO, its because it was later in the day....which ends the story line of sneaking in a child.

Yes, I was curious about statistics so I checked to see how many child abuse related deaths there have been lately in the US.

There were 1,720 in 2017.

In 2018, Texas reported 211 cases which was a 22.7% increase from the year before.

Texas and Indiana had the highest increase in child abuse related deaths.

I think she was supposed to wear it for 12-24 months.
The daycare reported that Maleah was shy, but a happy child who was well liked by her peers.
They also said she had to have her head covered and she could not go outside to play.
If they suspected any abuse they have not revealed that. Imo
