I was thinking the same thing. But then why would the BF bring up the pillowcase in his interview? He said he gave her one to hold her blocks after he broke her toy chest. Another odd thing to mention.

I know LE is going over every word said by whomever was interviewed by reporters. I feel confident that they will piece this all together perfectly.
sounds as if she might have been thrown hard against a toy chest??? just speculating as we have seen other bf become angry at children here on WS

QX is saying that mom and the bf were at this particular store very late at night, after midnight, and the baby was left at home, by herself,.. before she was reported missing. A 2 year old, left alone.

I'd like to know who was the last to see Maliyah, not counting family, and when, where.
I want to know more about this late night store visit. Was it the night before Maliyah was reported missing? If so, that late night visit to the "store" could have been a trip to somewhere else entirely. Did they go to the "store" with Maliyah and return without her? Is that the reason the HPD chief is asking for video going back 36 hours?

As far as making her boyfriend a sandwich I don't have any problem with her doing that.

I love to cook or even make sandwiches for my hubby. He works very hard even though he retired in 2018. Three months after retiring he opened up his own business. But even if he didnt have his own business now he constantly works hard here on our property, and helping me anyway he possibly can.

I can't begin to count the things he does to help me, and has always done so even when we dated for 2 years before marrying, and I did help him every chance I got, and it warmed my heart when I did.

So the least I can do for him is prepare good home cooked meals or make him the sandwich of his choice. Yes, he tells me he can make his sandwiches, and I know very well he can.

He can do household chores as well as I can too. Thank goodness he knows how to do everything, and does them extremely well.

Nothing went lacking during the couple of times I had to have major surgery, and the recovery took weeks. This included him totally caring for our five children, and cooking for them, when I wasn't able to do so in my in home recovery period.

I became extremely sick right out of the blue back the first of March of this year. No one could have taken better care of anyone like my hubby took care of me. He still does because I'm still struggling to overcome it.

I really wish he would let me do more for him. He knows, and so does my family, preparing food for them all is one way I express my deep abiding love for my hubby, and for my entire family/friends.

So I don't have any problem with her or anyone else for that matter making sandwiches or preparing food for their partner. It's an individual choice.

What I DO have a major problem with though is I believe that statement was a concocted lie meant to deceive.

Btw, peanut butter, and jelly sandwiches are usually one of the best things little children like to eat. It breaks my heart MB won't be able to eat one again. :( our little great grands love them!

This does make me wonder if they can pinpoint TOD by stomach contents.

I don't think that part of the story is true. I think it's just an explanation of why Maliyah was allegedly left alone on the playground and "disappeared".

Besides, even if it is true that he called the mom in to make him something to eat it isn't because he works hard. He said he was playing video games. I'll be damned if I would leave my 2 year old alone outside to make a sandwich for some guy sitting on his azz in my living room playing video games. jmo:mad:

I agree. All that was a bunch of bull.

I'm so afraid she may have already been dead way before they reported her missing.

we need to know when she was last seen alive by someone other than family IMO. How many times have I had to post that - it's like in so many missing kids cases here on WS.

Piecing together what happened to two-year-old Maliyah Bass

On their front doorstep of Maliyah's home, neighbors already began piling up soft toys and balloons on Monday. Neighbors said they wanted to shower the 2-year-old with the attention and love they say she always deserved.

"She was a sweet little girl. Her smile is big. She's beautiful. She's a happy baby. These people, if they didn’t want this baby, call that daddy in Dallas - come get your child. Take it to the fire station," said Stella, a neighbor who didn't want to provide her last name.

Stella said she and several other neighbors spent all Saturday helping search for Maliyah’s whereabouts. Stella says she's skeptical of Sahara's story.

"From 9 a.m. until 11 p.m., this girl sat here on these stairs saying my baby is gone, my baby is dead. And we’re out here looking for the baby.

What's equally interesting about this late night excursion to the store is to find out *what they purchased* Did they purchase cleaning products or bleach, duct tape, garbage bags, or? What was purchased will be extremely telling I think.

Amateur opinion and speculation

I usually just lurk but I logged in to say the same thing. I'm wondering if he threw her so hard that her body broke the toy box and then he either put her in the pillowcase or he suffocated her with it. Just my opinion, and sorry if it's too graphic.

I can't remember, when exactly was Maliyah found?

How is it that neighbors were out searching all Saturday, while the mom was sitting on the steps saying "my baby is gone, my baby is dead." from 9 am onwards?
How did mom know the baby was already dead??

I suspect the child's body was in the pillow case the bf mentioned. That could explain why the jogger had to get her husband to come and verify what she saw was really a body. It could also explain why LE immediately called it foul play and opened a homicide investigation.

I also think we are going to find out that Maliyah was deceased days before she was reported missing.

It's sad. Reminds me of poor Chance Walsh.

ETA: If Maliyah was put in a pillow case and placed in water, that statistically speaks to female offender behavior.
This is total and complete speculation and JMO.

I agree about the pillowcase. I've been wondering about the pillowcase since the beginning. Sometimes people insert little pieces of the truth in their "stories". Someone MIGHT think that mentioning Maliyah was carrying a pillowcase would explain her being found in one.
I also have to wonder if the joggers were unsure about what they were seeing (body or not) due to advanced decomposition, meaning the timeline of when she actually disappeared is off.

Your baby has vanished from the playground on Saturday. Neighbors are frantically searching. Baby could have hidden somewhere, wandered off, or have been taken into another unit for a cookie or whatever, and you sit on the steps doing nothing and wailing that your baby is dead?

This is not a normal reaction for a mother who can't find her baby. A normal reaction is to be frantically looking for her in every nook and cranny, knocking on everyone's door in the complex.

And we know from other missing cases that many mothers will simply not believe their child could be dead....will refuse to entertain that thought.....not even if they are missing for years.... if a body is not found :(

I am kind of new here. I created an account to follow Hailey Dunn way back when and lost access to that email so I had to create a new account to follow this poor baby too. The moms boyfriend's performance yesterday was just too much imo. Very telling. When I first watched the story where the mom was saying "they found my baby on an orange float" my red flag monitors flew up. The story has been stink city from the start. :( This precious baby needs justice.
