I noticed on the linked thread that Megan is reported to have "shadows under her eyes". Something that was not such common knowledge back then is that dark shadows are often linked to allergies, especially in children. It is a trivial piece of information, but clues to health can be helpful.

Know you know any info? I wasn't aware of her until a few months ago, only moving to the area way after disappearance but struck my interest and I did recently find a Megan Garner on FB that highly resembles her age progression photos, IMO.

Hi, I have seen the info in the link you posted, but I was curious if anyone on here has any updated information. I reported what I thought to be this little girl many years ago, but I never heard anything again from our local police, now the age progression photos look a lot like the same girl. I am just curious if anyone knows any further details on this case.

Every time I drive by these apartments I think about this girl... wondering what could have happened, and more importantly.. WHO took her. The area isn't one in which people can just stumble across. If the family wasn't involved (and I don't think they were), it had to have been either someone who lived in the apartments or an acquaintance of someone who did.

Posting mostly to keep her memory alive. You are not forgotten, Megan.

i may have already responded to this, sometimes I circle back, but I really would like to know the info on this lead to follow up. Need to know the name, or detective, something along those lines, or any other info. Or, if you prefer, contact NCMEC. Thanks, Melanie, Megan's Mom

Welcome, Melanie, and I'm so, so sorry for the loss of your Megan. Do you have any other info on her case, if you feel comfortable sharing? The info out there seems to be kinda vague...

It doesn't appear that floridagirl57 has been active (on that account at least) since the time they made that post, Melanie. I'm sorry.

Looking for anyone on this forum that has posted about a Megan Garner missing from Texas. Please respond to my post
Something that kind of bugs me sometimes is that I'm the only child of 4 who was "born in Mexico" it's really odd because my original birth certificate says male not female. In 1988 my mother was an illegal immigrant who had married my father in texas. At that time my older sister was two or three years old. It makes no sense why my mother would go alone to deep down in Mexico while pregnant and jobless and leave her 2-3 year old daughter with her father in texas. I was raised in Dallas tx but born in Mexico. Sometimes I wonder if I'm really related to my three sisters... one older two younger. My skin tone is different, they're all idk tanned I'm lighter , then I got these facial freckles, brown dark hair that seems thinner than theirs ...My birthday is Oct 12 1988...I suffer from allergies of some sort I've always had these dark circles under my eyes...My mother has never been really clear about what was going on with her and my dad when I was born. A long time ago I remember thinking my dad was someone else that looked thinner, and lighter skinned than a what my dad is...unlesss it was an old nightmare because I remember a super bad headache from being knocked on the head around that time also. This case just makes me wonder ...I don't know ...and the reconstruction...it kind of looks like me? I love my parents and sisters, but I truly wonder sometimes...if I should do a DNA test while my parents are alive just to confirm...

Hey Rgonzalez. If you have enough reason to believe that you may be Megan, please get the DNA test done. Contact the Tyler Police Department 903-531-1000 and speak with them about your suspicions and that you'd like to submit your DNA for comparison.

Megan's family is still looking for her.

I remember this day pretty well. My family & I lived in these very apartments at that time. I played on the same play ground with Megan & her older sister the day she disappeared, I attended the same school as her sister. I even remember the T.P.D. searching our apt. & cars for her. Such a terrifying thing to know she was right there & NO ONE, not even myself remembers a stranger taking her.

If you believe you maybe Megan her mother Melanie is also in this thread, reach out to her.

Nearly one year ago (9-26-16) it appears that Megan Garner's mom, meljo (Melanie), posted in this thread. She mentioned there was no news in her daughter's missing case.

I truly wish I could channel my sadness, into bumping this case into some kind of spotlight.

I look at my son, born in February of this same year, and cannot imagine Megan missing, as long as he has been alive. My daughter, also a Megan, was born 5 months after little Megan Garner. I thank the universe that we never experienced the loss that this family has endured.

I send vibes of peace, and love, to everyone affected by similar loss. All MHO as always.

[h=1]COLD CASE: Megan Garner still missing after 27 years[/h]
Tuesday marks 27 years since Megan Garner went missing from an apartment complex in Tyler. She was three years old when she went missing in 1991. She was last seen playing with her siblings on a playground at her apartment complex on Paluxy Drive.

Megan's mother Melanie Jackson says she still has hope one day she will see her daughter again.
"I think it's so important to report anything that anyone might remember or might have seen or if someone has seen someone that looks like her age progression because you know all we want at this point is to know where Megan is," said Jackson.

Tyler Police Detective James Holt is in charge of Megan's case. He tells CBS19 he reviews the files every few months to make sure he hasn't missed anything.

"There's not a whole bunch of leads because when she disappeared there was children in the area and they couldn't say when she went missing."

Holt said this week, he is getting additional help.

"We have two specialists coming in to do a full evaluation of the case and update it as far as digitizing the files in current format and then look for any leads that could have been missed or that technology will allow us to pursue," said Detective Holt.
