However, this is very confusing. As of the past few days, the US Marshalls still believed that she was in the Austin area and they had 3-10 agents actively looking for her. (US Marshals believe suspect connected with homicide still in Austin area) One would think that they Us Marshalls inquired with the airlines ASAP to see if she had flown when the arrest warrant was issued on the 17th of May. While the travel was days before the arrest warrant, what seems to have delayed the discovery she had taken a flight? The Marshals have very broad authority to apprehend fugitives. (https://www.usmarshals.gov/duties/factsheets/overview.pdf). Seems very odd to direct the search in Austin if she had flown to NYC a week before.I don't think she would or could hide in order to fly. At the time she wasn't wanted, so the flight was legal.
She probably went up to New Hampshire or VermontShe could easily leave the country from NYC.
I'd think NYC would be awfully expensive unless you were staying in someone's place for free. and even then, you're gonna need a job of some sort eventually.
Surprised she has done so little to change her appearance. Vanity over caution
TV Station in Austin posts photo of her with Strickland. Looks more blonde here with a tinge of red Moriah Wilson murder: What we know so far about the crime and Kaitlin ArmstrongIt’s not brown, or blonde. Pictures of her are still all over social media. It’s red.

Good job. Also, according to Armstrong's father on TV yesterday,May 24, he had spoken to her "five days ago" which would put that at May 19.
The interview which aired yesterday was done the evening before, as specified in the intro to the interview, which means "five days ago" would have been May 18.Good job. Can't say for certain but I imagine it would have been the first place they looked. If they were sharp enough to discover that she was at these airports, my guess is they would have done a thorough search for the car.Agreed. And at the end of the video at the below link, the reporter says the U.S. Marshals say the key is finding her Jeep Grand Cherokee. Have they checked the airport parking??
Father of woman wanted in murder of professional cyclist speaks out
As the search for murder suspect Kaitlin Armstrong continues, her father told "Good Morning America" he does not think his daughter is capable of the alleged murder.abcnews.go.com
It still seems like this remains somewhat confused. Having another "identity" to travel for someone that possibly committed a crime of passion seems pretty sophisticated and premeditated but who knows. What remains confusing is whether or not LE could have found her under her name on a flight or via CCTV at the airport doesn't seem like a huge undertaking when the flight in question seems to have happened the day after she was last heard from and several days before her father last spoke with her. The article quoted above treats the identity by law enforcement as confirmed: "U.S. Marshals said Armstrong, 34, was at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on May 14 around 12:30 p.m." From the 17th (warrant day) to the 24th the belief she was in the Austin area was based on her car and ties to the community according to the article. It just seems like a very limited approach to a "manhunt" for an alleged murderer with Austin Police involved in addition to 3-10 US Marshals. Just seems like a pretty huge miss and vital time lost insofar as she landed in NYC 11 days ago and from NYC, 11 days is a gigantic amount of time to get someplace else undetected.I think she could blend in very well in a lot of settings. It’s a shame she got such a huge lead time in getting away!
I wonder if she has an alias she traveled under? Because if she flew under her own name I would think this info would have been released sooner.

One other thought...did KA remove an unusual amount of cash between end of April and May 14 from bank account, retirement plan, bank loan/liquidate, or cash advance in the planning and possible pre-meditation of alleged events on 5/11 and subsequent travel to NYC on 5/14.Other thoughts....based on she flew under her name.
How did she get to the airport? Uber - if so, she has a digital trail by credit card.
When did she book the flight? Prior to May 11 or after?
How did she pay for the flight? i.e. follow the money trail
