A property owner made a grisly discovery while bulldozing early Saturday morning.

Orange police officers responded to the call at the 3800 Block of South Lutcher Drive in Orange to report a sighting of possible human remains found on the person’s property.

Orange Police Department is investigating remains that were found in a wooded area near a abandon business, according to Orange Police Detective I. Henry.

I can't find a NamUs page for this UID. The most recent article I could find is from Jan 8, 2018

Enmon said police found evidence of a possible campsite, which could indicate a transient along the highway. Or, he said, “it could have washed up” during the Tropical Storm Harvey flood.

Without a NamUs profile for this UID it's hard to know if they've made an ID yet. If not, here's someone who might be a match based solely on location.

MP8411 Jerri Denise Cox went missing from Orange, TX in 1997. I'm not sure how long "for some time" is but she's been missing for 22 years. The circumstances of her disappearance don't mention homelessness but they do say she was involved with criminal activity. Could this have been her campsite, a hideaway spot, or a place she frequented with someone else or others? I wonder what they found there that makes them say it looked like a campsite? I wish we had details of some of those items.

Details of Disappearance

Cox reported to her probation officer in Orange, Texas at 9:00 a.m. on January 7, 1998. She has never been heard from again. She was not reported missing until February 2.

Few details are available in Cox's case. She was reportedly involved in criminal activities at the time of her disappearance, and her mother believes she met with foul play and is now deceased.
