Bryan Police Department Search for Missing Child

The Bryan Police Department needs your help in locating a 3 year old girl:

Name: Rayven Shields
DOB: 8/21/14
Descriptor: Black female
3 ft tall, 60 lbs

The Bryan Police Department is working with Child Protective Services (CPS) to locate Rayven Shields. Her mother, Virginia Adams, has refused to cooperate with a CPS investigation against her. A court order was recently obtained by CPS giving them custody of Rayven. Adams was arrested earlier today and charged Interference with Child Custody. We are asking for the public’s help in locating Rayven so we can assist CPS in making sure she is being taken care of properly.

If someone has possession of Rayven and knowingly keeps her from CPS they may face charges of Interference with Child Custody which is a State Jail Felony punishable by up to two years in state jail.

Law enforcement believes that Adams may have placed the child with someone to intentionally hide her and they are extremely concerned about her well-being.

Late Friday evening, Bryan Police executed a search warrant at a home in the 4300 block of Conner Street, just south of Highway 21 in the Castle Heights neighborhood.

According to police, the home belongs to a family member where the missing girl and mother were living. Police remain on scene.

Please don't let her have hurt this child! Hoping someone is taking good care of her and will hand her over when they find out what's going on.

Also they have to have Rayven' s weight listed wrong, she cannot weigh 60lbs! My 3 year old doesn't even weigh 30lbs and Rayven does not look overweight.

I was thinking the same, but looking at the pictures she looks older than three. Also just saw her birthday is coming up this month so she is almost 4. Still seems like it may be inaccurate, but easier to picture thinking of her more like a 4 year old.

BREAKING: Bryan Police working to confirm remains found in investigation of Rayven Shields

Bryan Police found remains that are similar in size to a young child during their investigation into the disappearance of Rayven Shields.

In a press conference on Saturday, Bryan Police said they are working to positively identify the remains.

Police say they believe the body may have been there for a while. The remains will be sent to Travis County.

Is it me, or has there been a huge surge in baby killings recently? It seems like daily we are seeing young children, babies, toddlers, 4 yr olds, being brutally slaughtered by parents, care givers etc. Lord Help Us...

Not just you at all, I have been on WS forever and there is a definite uptick! So many "parents" have totally gotten their priorities mixed up... Whether it be drugs, partners, whatever. These babies deserve so much more in this life!
