The ex said that last Nov. Sara had called him and asked him to pick her up at the hospital because she had been attacked and had a head injury. He said he picked her up, took her home and searched everywhere to make sure no one was there since the doctor had told her to stay in bed the whole day.

One thing I found curious. Greta asked him who had custody. He kinda hesitated and then said they had joint custody. He had him 5 days a week and Sara had him 2 days. That doesn't quite sound like joint custody seeing as he had him more days with him. NOt equal time at all. What's up with that?

I also found the ex-husband to be a tiny bit hinky. I watched a brief bit of the interview (my kids were in the room and I could not hear that well), but the way his eyes darted all around when he was answering Greta's questions kinda bothered me. Maybe I'm too jaded but IMO this was a passion killing and not one perped by a stranger. Sarah had too many stab wounds. This reminds me of the murder of Pamela Vitale and how some of us thought it was Daniel who did it, and it turned out to be that freaky neighbor boy, but this ex just kinda made me wonder.

It sure would have scared me to death if I sold real estate. I think I would want to partner up with a strong male even if it meant splitting every commission. Especially if I lived in a fairly good sized city.

My husband and I are considering doing this together. He is getting his real estate license right now and I'm considering getting mine later on and working with him...he said if we do this he will always accompany me to show homes for this very reason. Real estate agents and especially female ones are so very vulnerable.

That does sound awfully strange, especially for a young child. Maybe, she worked many more hours than he did, and he was able to be there for his child.

I noticed his eyes also but I don't have an opinion yet. I'd have to see more of him.

We see some weird people come in and out of these model homes. It could have been a past buyer who had a crush on her and she never took it very seriously. It could also have been someone "shopping" for a new home.
I had someone that kept coming out and looking until I finally learned even if he was in the market he couldn't buy a home. He was weird, and luckily too embaressed to ever come back again once the truth came out.
Hate to say it but even male realtors have hit on me... in her job you just never know. As I said before- it's easy to learn someones schedule.

i watched the EX on greta....at the end he asked greta if he could say one more thing....went off about a trust set up with their son as a beneficiary and money to go to bury her. i don't know why, i just thought it was odd

It was kinda. It seems to me they have money for all that.

Jsut because there wasn't equally time doesn't mean they don't have joint custody. My Ex-husband & I have joint custody our daughter is with her dad Wed-Thur & every other weekend. The reason for our joint custody as he wanted as much say as me in things etc & usually when there is joint custody BUT not always there is no child support awarded.....back when I got divorced 14 years ago that was a big reason why my ex at that time-wanted joint custody howvere he still was order to pay $100 a month in CS.

My fiance has joint custody of his daughter she only goes to her mom's every other weekend but her primarcy resedence is our home and she pays no CS....so there are many different arragnents that are possible.

FWIW, it looks as though some of these houses were ready for occupancy. But they were not all sold and there were/are other phases.

http://dfw.drhorton.com/community.aspx?CommunityId=494

If this community had phases, maybe she had a disgruntled buyer from another phase. Lots of times if you are still onsite after people move in, you really get to know everyone in the neighborhood very well. They use the sales office to complain about sevrice issues and gossip about neighbors .There are a lot of units here, so maybe her killer lived in this neighborhood somewhere.

This is on Fox News right now.Greta is discussing it.
Here are the transcripts from earlier on Fox News;

There was a male realtor killed in the Seattle area about 4 years ago. He was also stabbed, I believe. I have never heard that they caught the killer.

I am an onsite agent too. I agree there are weirdos out there. The joint custody is easily explained for me. We don't have any time. I am on a 6 day a week schedule and phone calls on my only day off.If I had a young child without a participating father I couldn't do this job.

This is a case where there are so many possibilities not excluding an ex but including most of everyone else. The murder of 2 onsite agents in Atlanta a couple of years ago was a recently released ex-con. Burglary was his mo. He just didn't want to go back to prison. So, he offed the agents. After he raped them.

from what i understand some of these townhome units are indeed occupied. mr. izzyB and i drove by the development about 2:30 that afternoon. give me the willies just thinking about it now. her ex said he had been golfing in the morning, then went home and had lunch and went to the mall that is really not that far from this crime scene when taken in the whole scope of the dallas area. i have seen him on several newscasts and agree that my hinky went up, but they say in the local media she fought like hell and i am sure that LE has done a look-see at his body, gotten DNA etc. he has been questioned at least twice by police.

WOW IzzyMae! How spooky and yet exciting that you were driving there on that same day! What time did she did she die - 1pm - and what time was she discovered? Can't remember. So close in time.

I watched Greta's interview too and believe me, I gave him the eagle eye LOL My desk is about 20 feet from the TV so I cdouldn't se his eyes darting as you guys say, but I did notice they were quite small for the size of his head.

He reminded me of someone I couldn't put a finger on - a well known personality ??? But I could tell he is a good public speaker right away as he seemed to say the right things and had poise - until that last statement he mentioned. I thought that was in very poor taste.

For such a recent death, and to put in a plug for $$'s for the funeral, I just sat there dumbfounded. And he didn't carry it off well, like he was careful of his words and it wasn't planned before he started.

At first I thought, Gee, why did she ever let him go. Then I started think about these things:

motive - ?
opportunity - He was right there in the area or close by when it happened
means - His time is his own as he is a contractor I believe

I'm missing the 4th part - HELP!

Anyway, 2 out of 4 is a start. Right?
Scandi

ETA: I just read the original article again. They said it was a bloody or messy crime scene so there has got to be gobs of forensic evidence, right? In fact, we should start to see it come out soon.

there are several things i recall either reading on the paper or hearing on the news.

FIRST (and this is not in any order) it was HER relatives, sister, brother etc that brought up the $$$ in an article in the dallas morning news. they alleged that she had been shorted commissions. someone from DR Horton said the next day that her beneficiary would receive all salary and commissions. i did not see greta, but in the 2 interviews i saw with the ex he never mentioned $$. so maybe what he said on greta was in response to what her family had said.

SECOND: regarding these allegations of an attack last october/november. in one dallas morning news report it said she called police to say she was attacked or something and items stolen. but when the police got there they saw no evidence of that, except that she was intoxicated. no police reports about any prior attack, although her sister said either in the paper or on the news that she had been. i did not know she had been picked up by the ex from the hospital.

THIRD: where this happened between McKinney and Frisco, is a boom-berg with a lot of construction going on. she may have been killed by a construction worker who saw her come and go each day. or of course the dating websites that she was on. who knows. but one thing is for sure, there has got to be a ton of forensics.

McKinney already has a high-profile case involving the murder of 4 people at one house that has gone unsolved for several years now, so i hope this force is of the calibre to collect evidence. the Texas Rangers are assisting in the investigation. ALSO, i hope by the same token they do not rush to make an arrest just to do so (like they did in the aforementioned unsolved murders).

FOURTH: it was in the paper to day that the father of the victim asked all to pray for the man/woman who would do this. all said this was a pretty powerful statement coming from someone who had just suffered such a loss.

Yes, I would say so! That dear fellow. Thanks Izzy. I'm going to see if I can find anything from today in the paper, and also about the Dylinski trial.

Not just real estate agents. When I retired, I got a part time job as hostess in David Weekley model homes. I got off at 8:00 pm and had to walk all through the house turning off lights before I left and locked the door. In the winter, it is mighty dark at that hour. I carried a mace spray can, but I was still scared. Some of those homes are huge. It still gives me the creeps when I remember doing it.

i didn't find anything odd about the ex, last night on Greta.....i think this is going to be some freak Sarah met on the internet dating sites....

having equal time with your children, after a divorce, has nothing to do w/joint custody....

exactly....joint custody is used most often when both parents agree to have equal 'say so' regarding the child/children....one has no more 'rights' than the other, which IMO, is a good thing....

I don't understand that part of it. We have to maintain our licenses and we are required additional hours, memberships at a great cost, testing at every opportunity and then we sell. How can anyone just babysit? Not in my world.I am in Georgia if anyone forgot. It is tough and tougher. Granted there are housewives that pass the test and jump on for a few months but have no clue to the duration. And only think they will save themselves on a commission.Part time job it is not and if you represent a client you have a fiduciary responsibilty.

This post was to address the hostess post. My God in heaven...I am half beaten to death and workng ungodly hours and I won't take my position as a hostess position. I sell, I maintain the sale and I close the property this is not a hostess.
