(Stephanies Remains) Someone years ago mentioned a water well behind a house on the south side of town near sundown highway. He has since passed away. So I don’t know how much truth there is to it. But something about her being under it or in it. I can ask for more specifics if that’s to vague.

This is Lisa, Stephane is my sister. Did you ever talk to the Tx Rangers with this information?

If I'm understanding this correctly, he is now the suspect in two murders and is currently serving time on drug charges. I'm going to venture a guess that he was a drug dealer and these two young ladies crossed his path. I am not accusing anyone of using drugs, especially not the murder victims. It would not surprise me if he was the perp in other crimes, perhaps of less significance, than murder.
He is a evil monster.. justice will be had for Stephane and Jeannie..

Lisa, I’m glad you’ve joined the thread. I wish we could have met under different circumstances. Stephane’s case has haunted me for some time. It’d be great if you could become a Verified Insider on this thread. I think your input would be invaluable. It would allow for you to post more freely here.

Here is the link to that process. Verification Process for Professional or Insider Posters
Please let me know if I can help with that or with Stephane’s case!

I think everything points to the husband.. in these cases it is always like that.. perhaps the husband commissioned it because apparently he already had previous convictions and a homicide... so why go to the extreme of killing someone because you no longer love him or you deception...
rest in peace

Stephanie has been missing with no recovered body or any information since 11-24-1993
Last seen in Levelland Texas

Called her grandmother to say she was leaving the home of her and her husband Ricky Henderson to never be seen again.

This family (Henderson) are very well known and will often have covered for their son in other crimes. The Texas rangers say this case is solved but Ricky has not confessed nor any physical evidence found to say she is dead or alive.

Ricky is in prison but the family would love some closure

Texas Rangers have marked Stephanie case as solved even though there has been no confession or body found. I sent another email to the ranger working the case to see if I can get anymore information. I lived in Levelland from 1992 to 2016 and have some insider information as well that has been provided. I would love for the family to have some closure and I am not sure why Ricky doesn’t just admit.

Details of Disappearance

Stephanie was last seen in Levelland, Texas on November 28, 1993. She had an argument with her husband, Ricky Don Henderson, at their home on Opdyke West that day. Photographs of Ricky are posted with this case summary.

Stephanie called her grandmother and asked her to pick her up and take her to San Angelo, Texas. Her grandmother went to Stephanie's home, but by the time she got there, Stephanie was already gone. Ricky claimed she was picked up by some female friends from Hobbs, New Mexico and he didn't know where she was. She has never been heard from again.

Stephanie left all of her personal belongings, including her purse and her only pair of shoes, behind at her home when she vanished. Her disappearance was not reported for several weeks because her family believed she was staying with her friends in New Mexico.

Then Stephanie's grandmother got a typed letter supposedly from Stephanie which stated she was living in Hobbs. However, the letter was postmarked Lubbock, Texas, and when Stephanie's grandmother noticed this she became suspicious and contacted police. Foul play is suspected in Stephanie's disappearance. Investigators interviewed the friends who supposedly took her to Hobbs, and they all said they did not pick her up.

In 2004, police tested a hair of Stephanie's against the saliva on the envelope flap of the letter that was sent to her grandmother. The saliva was not Stephanie's and the DNA was from male, not a female.

In March 2021, Ricky was indicted for the murder of Stephanie. At the time, he was serving a 25-year sentence in an unrelated drug case. In May 2024, the murder charge against him was dismissed, as the prosecution decided there wasn't enough evidence to convict him. Charges in Stephanie's case could be re-filed against Ricky if more evidence surfaces.

Ricky has also been named as a person of interest in the 2018 murder of 20-year-old Jeannie Quinn in Levelland. He knew Quinn and was the last person to see her before her disappearance. She was found hanging in a wooded lot in Abilene, Texas in April 2018, two days after she went missing, and an autopsy determined the hanging was staged and she'd been murdered. He has never been charged in this case.

Foul play is suspected in Stephanie's case due to the circumstances involved. Her body has never been found.
