I'm sure its been speculated before, but the perp looks drunk to me. Deliberate steps as not to fall on their a$$. Touching the wall to get a point of reference. Leaning back, standing tall as not to tip forward. So if that's the case, did the perp get liquored up to get the courage to go kill MB or just a random weird drunk that thought it was a good idea to break into a church and got surprised. It WAS in the wee hours of the morning and the bars close, go get my fancy burglar suit on and find somewhere to rob.

That's an interesting thought. Can any locals tell us whether the gun store lot is well lit at night and clearly looks like a gun store at night?
It is well lite up. I had no idea it was a gun store until all this happened. I thought it was sporting goods.

Several posters have commented that the perp appears drunk and thus it's more likely to be a very personal murder, not done by a stranger.

There are also some fascinating photo posts in the closed thread that purport to show a cup and straw in the Nissan Altima. Some speculated that if it was the perp's car/ride that they had gathered dutch courage at 2am'ish to go kill.

Why wouldn't the perp be seen on camera in the church for nearly 2 hours after that, though? 2 am at gun store. 3:50 at church.

If I was going to break into a building, it would probably take me that long to do it, fwiw.

It's also interesting that a specific word used yesterday in the closed thread was mentioned in a recent interview. That gives me reason to think this forum is being read by interesting people. :escape:

SBM - which interview? BB's last night or last Friday's (5/20) press conference?

Hi Everyone,

The Missy Bevers thread is now open.

Toward the end of thread #20 it became pretty much an all out war.

We won't tolerate this kind of posting. No more warnings. Time-out or bannings. Whatever fits the situation.

REMEMBER THIS: THE THREAD IS ABOUT MISSY'S MURDER.

If someone is rude to you do not respond. Please hit the alert button.

In the latest press conference, the police said Missy's family, friends, and co-workers are not considered suspects.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/police-search-for-vehicle-of-interest-in-texas-church-murder/

Please do not suggest or hint or even slightly infer that someone in this group could be the killer.

I want you to do what you do best and that's sleuth as much as you can with the information we have.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to send me a PM or email me at websleuthscomments@gmail.com

Thank you,
Tricia

However, just because they said that "they are not suspects.." Which is true according to the police. They still are POI. Are we still not allowed to sleuth them?

I saw this immediately but thought it might just be graininess, but since I have not seen it mentioned by anyone else I will put it out there for discussion.
I see another bumper sticker on the far left that has a large V.

I found myself almost crashing yesterday trying to look at an Altima that fit the description in town to see if there was a sticker. I doubt they would be driving it around...JMHO! It is hard for our little town to believe this could happen.

I'm still trying to get my bearings around the church layout. Can someone confirm that these two photos are of the same hallway, just from opposite viewpoints?

Why would the possibility of them being drunk make it more likely to be personal? I would think the opposite, alcohol being the catalyst rather than revenge/anger etc?

I think I am in the minority here, but I don't think the perp looks drunk in the videos. I don't really see the stumbling, more just the odd gait. The dragging of hands\tools along the walls is part of what makes it so creepy to me. Like they are there just casually wasting time until MB arrives. What I see as the casual nature of it all is also what leads me to believe they knew pretty much exactly when she would be arriving.

There is always a notable lack of raw fear, given the circumstances. .

So true. By the way did you notice that a specific word used yesterday in the closed thread was mentioned in a recent interview. That gives me reason to think this forum is being read daily by extremely interesting people....... :escape:

I hope this perp feels offended, insulted and degraded that an adult man, BB, would have the audacity to "forgive" him. I'm sure that's not the fear filled and awe inspired response the perp was seeking. I think BB vocalizing his process of forgiveness had its intended effect.

This sloppy looking little coward is no match for all of the agencies involved and if he/she believes otherwise, he/she is a fool. It may take a little while to solve, but I am confident it will get solved. Don't lose faith, LE has got this!

If it's a woman who had the hots for BB and he knows it maybe he is sending her a message- turn yourself in and I will forgive you but if you don't I will never forgive you. Maybe? Who knows

I haven't seen anyone say they think the perp is a cop.

Way back in the beginning, several of us wondered if SP is current LEO. Even more of us asked if this murder is directly linked to the recent MPD arrest (Phillip Slaughter 4/15/16) at the time (3 more since the murder-I'll look for a link) as something much bigger b/c of the agencies involved in the investigation.

Is it a crime to impersonate an officer during a crime if you are a real officer? Well that is confusing.

IMO

If there was a sticker on the Altima there is no longer one there. It's time for rational thinking. If the perp was involved with this car, in anyway, they have removed that sticker by now knowing that people are looking for one. Make sense? It does to me.

MOO - I think there's strong motive but obviously don't have details. It's just that it fits the classic cases of this type. I'm basing my opinion on a framework... meaning context of the case with certain classic factors involved - not any special knowledge.

I think the reason it's so tricky is because it seems like there's been a deliberate attempt on the perp/perps' part to hoodwink LE and everyone else by playing dress-up with cops and robbers gear. I haven't seen anyone say they think the perp is a cop.

Nobody can be absolutely certain except perhaps LE photography specialists what gender this bumbling, shuffling 'robocop' is.

In my latest opinion the strategy of robocop is a masculine one. Based on new points raised online by different people I've seen many in this forum shift in certainty about it being a man or a woman. There are some people on the internet with mind-blowing technical skills in regard to blowing photos up and discerning features. Thanks to them I'm now 99% sure it's a man with Schwarzenegger fantasies.

It's also interesting that a specific word used yesterday in the closed thread was mentioned in a recent interview. That gives me reason to think this forum is being read by interesting people. :escape:
Indeed. I wouldn't rule out posting, as well.

If the officer is not on official duty, meaning their regular shift, then they are not supposed to be in uniform. We had a case in my state of an officer who would pull women over, just after his shift was over, and eventually rape them. I can't remember the exact charge but it had to do with acting as a police officer while not on official duty.

Well now I am totally curious as to the word. Now, am I curious enough to search the entire thread.... LOL.

I don't see drunk either. Because I live in hunting country, I know how much different I walk when I layer on clothes and boots I don't normally wear (I'm female). I guess because I know this, the stumbling and walking funny doesn't really shout out drunk to me rather than the person is super layered up with clothes and gear and shoes they don't typically wear.
