Does anyone else see a lawn sprinkler??? JMO.
I thinhk Texas introduced a 4 year alimony if the spouse was un employed around 1995 when I got a divorce, since i was re marrying i didnt bother lol
This is completely nothing more than my interpretation of this crime IF it was targeted. If she was targeted, which I personally believe she was, I think it was much more personal than what you described above. Someone who knew her as more than a casual acquaintance. What the hatred in SP stems from could be one of several things, and I don't have enough of the details to even make an educated guess at this point ($, love, kids, business). I don't know what killed her or incapacitated her, but if the LE reports are true that she had wounds on her chest and head (my guess is face due to the chest comment), that shows extreme anger. Yes, other killings have occurred in equally gruesome manners, but now we are talking a very disturbed serial killer type (which matches more with being targeted in the sense of having blonde hair). If LE has good reason and evidence that SP is someone that only casually knew her (maybe only via online), yet attacked her so violently, my guess is they would have concerns SP would quickly fixate on a new target and repeat the crime. I would expect there would be some sort of announcement that locals (really anyone in DFW) be vigilant. Again, nothing concrete to support that, just my initial impression of how LE is proceeding with this investigation.
But if she was "targeted", wouldn't the question still be: "Why"? (Why, her) For example, what if this person went after, a "blonde". (How do you know this person might "not" go after, another "blonde".) (Or say, a female did this case and it was over "jealousy". What "might" happen, if the perp ever becomes "jealous" over some other gal.) I believe this person "could" kill again. [But I guess the real question would be: "Will" they (ever) do it, again.] (And I would not just look at cases that occurred 'at' a church, either. Because, it could be possible that: It occurred there for the reason of: That is where "she" was going to be at.)
```````
If this was about (or, 'more', about): This person wanted to play a "cat & mouse" game with Police [looked for a place, where they would BE on "surveillance camera video"] (you see what they are wearing), why not break into a place where you could (also, at least, "steal" something. Make it more, worth your while.)
```````
(Whatever the case may be), look at this:
If the perp knew that there WAS "surveillance cameras" at this church (There is a sign outside that stated there was),
then they knew (before then went there), that:
Police
will be looking at this surveillance camera video.
(after I do this.)
You see what the person is wearing.
`````
Taunting, Police?
(cat & mouse game)
&/or,
a "wanna-be" cop?
("and", cat & mouse game)
``````
Is it "both":
(The intent was to kill Terri Bevers)
"and"
(The intent was to,
play a cat & mouse game, with Police.)
Another reason I'm leaning towards teenage male (seemingly unfamiliar with church nursery doors).
Three children = large child supportExcept in this case, I doubt there was much financial to fight over. Also, Texas isn't an alimony state. If anything would be fought over, I think in this case it would more likely be the children.
That said, I still don't think this is about adultery or divorce issues.

You summed up my thoughts on this case very well. I am also open to the idea that SP was "hired" by someone who knew MB very well. However I don't believe SP was a professional... more a friend or relative who was asked to take care of someone else's dirty work. If it was a hit person, clear instructions were given on how this murder was to happen. MOO
I in no way can see a teenager in gait nor smarts nor money to pull something of this magnitude off.I have only recently begun to wonder if it could be a teenage girl, with a teen boy driving the getaway vehicle. Any thoughts on that?
That would be my first guess, as well. (But what I was basically stating was: Until it is "known" what this case was (in "fact") about, (in regard to my own self) I certainly would not (take a chance) in possibly having a (false-) sense of security, in believing "that" (because, who knows what this was about, in "fact".)...I would expect there would be some sort of announcement that locals (really anyone in DFW) be vigilant. Again, nothing concrete to support this, but my impression of how LE is proceeding with this investigation is that they believe it is someone who had a close relationship of some sort with Missy.
Back to the SWATPERP video at the MPD website. The item in the left hand as SP swings the hammer into some glass, all the way at the end of the video, is clearly a square ended, rectangular object with smooth edges. It is shaped like a box of Saran Wrap and that is why everyone called it that. When the photo is enhanced, it looks like Godzilla eating Tokyo, all jagged edges and what appears to be empty space. It is not. Clearly, it is a square ended, rectangular object and much like a box of wrap, has no empty space. Although I truly appreciate the enhancement, it was of no help and, to me, is too distorted to use in a meaningful way. I think the MPD video image is clear enough to see the details of the shape of the object.
So, before we launch into the absurd, can we figure out what object, shaped just like a box of wrap and which is definitely not Godzilla eating Tokyo, is in his hand? I notice some movements at that scene that suggest to me that SP gained entry into the room behind what I assume to be a door with a glass window. All we can see are SP's feet but I think they move forward, into the room. Before this, SP's left arm raises up, as if grabbing the door jamb up high, then the foot moves forward. It is a very brief moment.
Study those last few seconds if you will. What could be of use in his left hand, at the door jamb or through the broken window, and looks like a box of wrap? If it served no purpose, SP would not have hung on to it but it stayed in the left hand as the arm rose high. Huh. What help did it provide in getting into that room?
Of course, it could be a box of cookies from the kitchen.
At one point I jumped as I thought it was a bottle of barbeque lighter fluid but convinced myself after seeing the same sequence over and over that I was just tired. Anyway, it has a purpose. It is not a tri-pod ,or a ramming tool, or the panic bar from another door or anything else that has been suggested on these 29 threads.
I agree with you. If you haven't read about John Franklin Howard and his multiple attempts to hire folks - when they were not in jail - to kill his wife, read this article. Granted, the money that changed hands in this case is extraordinary, but focus on the people who were hired and their relatives!! Staggering. Even more shocking is that Frank continued to pay these hired killers over a period of years!! Frank's making a lot of money, but who's smarter???? LOL. He was fleeced for a lot of money.
My point, which supports yours, GA Peach, is there are a lot of people willing to be hired to kill somebody. One really doesn't need to hire a mercenary, but maybe a professional wouldn't have been caught.

Did anyone read this piece? The hitman in this case was driving a silver Nissan. Interesting!
