27-year-old Jorge Post was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a disabled person. He was 17 at the time of the offense, police say.

''MESQUITE, Texas — Investigators with the Mesquite Police Department, along with their FBI partners, have announced that a 27-year-old man has been arrested this week in connection to a 2014 cold case where a disabled woman was raped, beaten, and left for dead.
The crime, which a police spokesperson described as 'savage' happened in the 3500 area of Moon on September 2 that year. The disabled woman was sexually assaulted and beaten unconscious, per police, and found by a neighbor who saw the victim lying near the side of her home. ''
