I am glad because its about time

I've been wondering if it's this missing male: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Originally from NJ, parents in NJ, he had started at a boarding school out of state and did not like it, ran away in 2004. 16 yo at the time. In the picture on the link, you cannot see his teeth, and he has exceptionally good dentals, but I don't know that Asian Doe had poor overall hygiene. I see some places he was missing four teeth, which could have occurred over time or I would think (?) possibly because of trauma. The reason I'm noting this missing person is that when I searched multiple links for images and compared to the sketch available for Asian Doe, I thought there was a strong resemblance. Looking through past posts here, and I see Daniel Yuen was at least at one point mentioned.

Link for Daniel Yuen article: New clues emerge 15 years after teen's disappearance: 'We just want to know he's safe,' family says

Evidently, Daniel was on a sports team, the Hawks. Someone made an anonymous call to his police officer leaving this message: "Daniel Yuen is fine, Daniel Yuen is still in the same area where you originally searched," the message said. "He doesn't want to be found, he doesn't want you or his parents looking for him."

Has he been ruled out? Looking through past posts.

He hasn't been ruled out yet on NamUs

This is right, this is exactly what should happen, but am I the only person wrestling with anger that this didn't happen ten or more years ago? It has never been a secret that this Doe was found in clothing that reflected a feminine presentation. Why has that never been shown in the reconstruction? Only showing a masculine reconstruction could have hindered potential identification. There's no doubt in that, especially if Asian Doe presented with feminine grooming and attire in their day to day life. The possibility exists that people close to them had never seen them present in a masculine way.

This isn't something that LE would have to learn about from sensitivity training, it's common sense. You create a recon to aid recognition. That's why you try to replicate things like hairstyles, jewellery and attire. They had Asian Doe's clothing. They KNEW how they dressed. And yet the recon for a decade has looked like a cisdude.

The solution? It's not rocket science. You do two recons from the start, like with Justin/Justine in Georgia.

MOO

Asian doe was found with two shirts, apparently? Interesting.

I expect one was like a tshirt, the other a looser or warmer button up. People layer shirts all the time, sometimes just for the effect, and if she was walking or working outdoors, an extra layer might be welcome, especially if it was cool but too warm for a jacket.

Keeping eyes open for Asian Doe, she may be recognized by people from the community.

''That documentary, “The Stroll,” reveals the tough, often bleak and somehow still strongly uplifting stories of transgender sex workers who walked West 14th Street during its hustling heyday from the 1980s to the 2000s, when it earned the nickname “the stroll.”
