I'm not surprised. Unfortunately the security services don't have the resources to follow everyone on the terrorist watch list. I wonder what impact this will have on the general election election here in less than two weeks.

Greg, I agree. DH and I discussed this a bit further; from what I'm reading, this happened at the end of the concert when people were exiting. When we were leaving the U2 concert last night, anyone could easily have re-entered the area and wreaked havoc. Even though there was a heavy police presence, I didn't see LE refusing access to anyone coming back in.

It's the same here when I go to gigs in Glasgow there needs to be a security review in all venues now. They have to keep people safe before and after gigs as much as is possible.

I am thinking right now of my nieces (and mom or dad) who would go to One Direction concerts over the last few years with all of their friends. I imagine this crowd was so similar. It breaks my heart. And just terrifies me.

Has the suicide bomber been identified?
We as yet know nothing about the bomber(s) or how the explosion was delivered: suicide bomber? car bomb? Police are pursuing the theory it was a terrorist attack.

ISIS supporters appear to have tweeted about the attack four hours before it happened.

"Two messages, posted four hours before the attack, appeared to predict the atrocity."

One message on Twitter posted by a user called Abdul Haqq said: 'It seems that bombs of the British airforce over children of Mosul and Raqqa has just came back to #Manchester.'

I hate this.

Me too. I know a lot of people go numb when these attacks happen but each and every one just cuts me to the core. They attacked children FFS! Disgusted.

So, how does anyone know that he was known to intel, if he has not been identified? Or is that just a rumour?
