been seeing on twitter a lot of trolls making fake appeals to look for fake little brothers/sisters (using images from google) - making twitter, which is usually a great way to communicate during unfolding events like this, a lot less useful.

No, not confirmed. It's possible but that is coming from US sources and on TV it is being stated it is NOT confirmed by GM police

With shrapnel being involved it could be three different things. 1. Suicide bomber. 2 pipe bomb 3.pressure cooker bomb. However most pipe bombs aren't as deadly as a suicide bomber or a pressure cooker bomb.

No matter the method the terrorist used any of the three I listed would cause horrific injuries. Either of those are designed to do tremendous damage to human beings.

Knowing little kids have been separated from their parents tears my heart out. Sadly, there is a possibility their parents may have been severely injured or worse.

One of the witnesses said she was standing in the foyer by a ticket desk, heard the explosion, felt heat on her neck and when she looked down - there were bodies.

A Facebook post containing a graphic description of the blast is being widely shared on social media.

The Mirror has not been able to verify it at this time, but it comes from a profile which appears genuine.

A young woman called Abby Mullen has shared pictures of what looks to be blood in her hair and on her bag.

She writes: “Just out of The Ariana Grande Concert in Manchester,I thought we would leave seconds before the last song finished in order too get home quicker instead of waiting longer for a taxi,As we where leaving a bomb or explosion went off centimetres in front of me.

“Peoples skin/blood&Feces where everywhere including in my hair & on my bag,I’m still finding bits of god knows what in my hair.I am fine & back in my hotel I hope everyone involved and in front of me is okay.We are being told it was a balloon/sound system but I can assure you it was not,You never ever expect these things too happen too you but this proves it can happen too anybody.
“That sound,The blood & those who where running around clueless with body parts & bits of skin missing will not be leaving my mind any time soon or the minds of those involved.
“Again,Hope everyone is alright I am very,Very lucky too be where I am just now x”

Blind hatred, and extremism is as deadly as any cancer that spreads and we have seen how this toxin has spread to over 30 countries now. The most terrifying aspects of this is there is no way to stop all of it.

While extremists are diabolical they are very capable of pulling these kind of terrorist attacks off resulting in multiple casualties.

The entire world must rise up against those who wish to murder as many of us as they can. It may not stop lone wolf terrorist attacks but it will help to eradicate all of these barbaric dangerously violent terrorists that may huddle in mass together plotting and/or taking innocent lives over and over again.

It is all about good triumphing over evil and every civilized nation must do their part to rid their countries of these terrorists who are nothing more than cults, imo. We are at war with pure evil, and we must overcome/overpower that evil so the innocent lives wont continue to be lost senselessly.

God bless the families of the victims were were cruelly murdered today and I am praying for all of the wounded to survive and hope they make a full recovery.

People rushing in and out of A&E at Wythenshawe

There are lots of people rushing in and out of the A&E department here at Wythenshawe hospital.
Some are family members and friends here to support the injured and others are clearly medics working tirelessly through the night to deal with the rush of patients coming from the city centre.

Despite this hive of activity here it is almost completely silent.

Even the A&E waiting room itself is quiet.
