During the hearing Tony McGillicuddy, instructed by Paul Tiernan Solicitors, applied for senior counsel representation for Harrison, who he said has an “income of modest means”, which Mr Justice Binchy, presiding over the case, said he thought was suitable.

The court will make recommendations to cover the services of a solicitor, a junior and a senior counsel to represent Harrison.

No application for bail has been made, however draft points of objection to the arrest warrant have been assembled and will be submitted to the court by Friday.

Mr McGillicuddy said the points of objection are regarding the contents of the warrant and “uncertainties and conflicts that Mr Harrison argues arises in the warrant itself”.

Harrison was arrested on a domestic, unrelated matter at Dublin Port in October, which has since been resolved.

He has been in Cloverhill prison since his initial arrest and will return to court in Dublin on November 21.

So all three of them must still be of interest, will be interesting to see if Stansted man is named on wendsday,
 
What do we know about the couple from Warrington?? All i can remember was rumors that they owned the truck that mo was driving a few years back!!!! Are they connected to the haulage industry at this time do we know???

They're originally from Ireland and run a haulage company called 'Thomas Maher Transport Ltd'. A news article stated that they left Ireland after they came to the attention of the Irish secret service, which again points towards this whole thing having links to the IRA.

Source for that statement? The "Irish secret service" is not concerned with the IRA, but operates in a more international area, its part of the Irish Defence Forces. Unless your source means the Special Detective Unit, which is an arm of the police, what we used to call Special Branch. So the Mahers flee Ireland to avoid the attention of the "Irish intelligence" forces by moving to....... Warrington. Yeah, right. The SDU and PSNI signed protocols of cooperation in 2002, so in effect, the SDU can rely on the NCA to support investigations of mutual benefit.

The Mahers set up a business in Bulgaria called "Tomorrow's Movements Today" (TMT, Thomas Maher Transport, geddit, saves rebranding their trucks), which seemed to be the vehicle for the Bulgarian truck business. This was sold to a company in Monaghan last year.

It is interesting how much information must be known, and yet is not available to the public.

The causes and times of death? The Bluetree log from the trailer ? Why extradition of EH is being opposed? Has an EAW been requested for the Hughes brothers? If so, why is this taking so long?

And in the case of the Chippenham lorry, what were the names and details of the 15 arrested? Where are they now?
 
Co Down man to challenge warrant over Essex deaths


Barrister Tony McGillicuddy said there were certain issues about the contents of the warrant and certain "conflicts or uncertainties" which had been raised by Mr Harrison.

These had been outlined in a sworn statement by his solicitor and will be outlined to the court before the full hearing of the extradition application on 21 November next.

The court had previously been told there were "complexities" to the warrant because the alleged offences had not taken place in the issuing state (the UK).

This gave rise to similar circumstances as the Ian Bailey case, where extradition was refused.
 
One wonders again about the role of Europol's human trafficking dept?
