I’m not after dirt on Corrie, I’m honestly not. But I’m curious to hear from people who knew him, whether he was popular with colleagues, Whether he had good friends, etc. I guess I’m curious to know why none of his friends or colleagues realised he was missing until the Monday. How had no one contacted him over the weekend?

Thanks for this, I’d seen this thread but other than the sleeping on/in bins, there’s nothing about his friends or people’s opinion of him.

I take that back! I’ve just been delving through all the old threads and there’s several comments on there about his “friends”. I only asked because he reminds me very much of a soldier I used to go out with. Good looking, charismatic, loud…but his colleagues all called him “Gobshite”!!! I, and all his subsequent girlfriends, obviously saw him differently to other men!!

Friends from home could have been ok to comment, but his military friends and colleagues are not allowed to speak to the press without permission, not withstanding that some people would have been interviewed by the police as part of the case.

It sounds like going off on his own wasn't unusual for Corrie, but being ex-RAF I can say that when you go out socialising one of the group should make sure everyone gets home safely, which clearly didn't happen. I mean, you are free to do your own thing (up to a point), but when it's a night out of drinking, someone should take responsibility. You are also free to come and go from base when you are off-shift.
