If he works on church restorations I would doubt he's self employed - these are usually big projects with specialist firms employing craftsmen. So he might not have possession of a works van out of hours.
 
I dont think they "missed" anything in the initial search i think they searched it as usual but maybe with less man power leaving room for doubt in peoples minds, i think who planted the clothes there saw that as an opp to do so.

As the clothes were found in a field next to the footpath, which isn't visible from the path, the person who left them there may not have realised the field had already been searched.

We don't know for sure what areas were searched. So I don't see how it can be concluded that someone planted clothes after searches had been done. It seems logical that the clothes were there all the time but not found either as you say because of - not a thorough search, or that area wasn't searched at all.

Whilst I do agree that it can't be ruled out that the clothes were there all along, I think it highly unlikely. Especially as police helicopter was being used as early as 9th November. Those clothes would have stood out like a saw thumb in the field, especially the white trainers.

Edit - Dancing ledge also claimed to be thoroughly searched on the 8th.

I know reading on the find gaia Facebook page a few days ago someone asked about
"has such and such been searched?"
and they were directed to a document on the page which listed everywhere that had already been searched...

Just had a quick look and (I believe) the document has been removed and just shows an error message when you click on the link 🤔

After checking her social accounts, I don't think she had anything to do with the guys that were due to be released from jail. Thou she does mention in 2014 about someone was threatening to post pictures on a *advertiser censored* website.
She also seems very open to reveal her blackberry / mobile numbers on these accounts....

I don't think this is is relevant but Ill add to the mix. Someone mentioned on the find Gaia facebook that she went to a funeral last week which was next door to RD house. Could someone of used a burial site?

And with PE working at churches .... not a big leap to think that he used his work place to hide something

That was my thought when I mentioned graveyards and ski bags.

Plus and I may be wrong here - restoration made me think of older churches and hence old churchyards.
One of our local churches has a massive cemetery attached. Many of the graves date back to 1800s and I doubt this section of the cemetery is much visited ( apart from when the grass is mowed ).

I have just seen this quote from GE about PE and his movements
Paul's father, Greg Elsey, 69, also said that his son was in Weymouth when Gaia vanished in Swanage, Dorset. He said: 'I'm absolutely bewildered that he was arrested, I've got no idea why he was taken.

it is possible then that RD called PE said what happened and then PE said ok i will be there in X amount of time sit tight til then... or am i missing some info to the contrary, i am assuming they would have been able to also track his mobile signal to confirm if in fact he was 30 miles away ( an hours drive give or take traffic) maybe thats why they have confiscated all phones? But even so the search didnt start until the 8th so they had the whole night to decide what to do with her body and what story to tell.

Just read that and was amazed to see Greg Elsey flapping his chops again when "Pauls Barrister" had advised him to say nothing to anyone ...

The article also states "It was believed Gaia had been staying with the pair in Manor Gardens, Swanage when she disappeared" but I'm pretty sure that that's wrong isnt it? Gaia wouldn't have been staying with Nathan and Rosemary if she'd not been friends with Nathan for 14 months ... which is it?

NE didn’t live with RD though did he? I thought PE lived with RD and NE lived nearby with DE.
