The most obvious possible match is Michael Conboy, although he seems such an obvious possibility that surely the police have ruled him out already??

Michael - Missing People

I think Michael Lee is another strong possibility. The general description and timeline both fit. Michael Lee went missing from nearby Grimsby and the last sighting was of him driving out of town. The road he was on would get him to Hull easily within 45 mins.

Two other gents missing from within a reasonable distance -

Charles Appleby - Missing from Hull. Aged 48 so two years below the estimated age of at least 50. Last seen 2001 so possibly missing too long to be a match??

Steven Jones - Missing from nearby Doncaster. Aged 50 and last seen in 2008.

I can't help thinking these are all too obvious though. I would like to think that the police would have ruled out all of these gentleman before going public with photos of the belongings.
