A missing 11-year-old boy who became separated from his mother outside a Poundland store in west London is being sought by police.

The Metropolitan Police said the child, named only as Ibrahim, was last seen on Station Road, Hayes.

It said he became separated from his mother accidentally and had been missing since Monday evening.

The Met added the youngster was not in trouble with police or his parents, but that officers just wanted to find him.

Police is using pronoun them for Ibrahim.

"Ibrahim is not in any trouble with the police or parents, just needs the community to help locate them ASAP," police said.

After walking away from his mother, he is believed to have travelled into central London.

He is believed to have caught the H98 bus to Hounslow West Underground Station and travelled into London, possibly on the Piccadilly Line.

Police believe he may have been in the Pimlico area between 14:15 and 14:50 on Tuesday.

He is also thought to have travelled to other parts of central London, including Westminster and Canada Water.
