Police investigating the disappearance of Jamie Cannon in
Saltcoats have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses.
It comes four weeks on from the day the 19-year-old vanished after last being seen on Thursday, May 20 on the seaside town's Kinnier Road around 10am.
He has not been seen or heard from since which police say is very out of character.
Inspector Alison Wilson of
Saltcoats police office said: “We would like to thank the public for the tremendous support they have given so far.
"It is obvious from the response we have had that there is great concern in the community for Jamie’s wellbeing.
"As our search continues, we ask that if you were in Saltcoats at the time Jamie went missing and you think you might know something that would be of interest to our enquiry, please tell us.
"Jamie is described as being 6ft 1in tall, with short dark hair. When he was last seen he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers, a blue jacket and was carrying a camouflage backpack.
"If you are reading this appeal Jamie, please make contact with police or your family and friends to let them know you are safe and well, everyone remains greatly concerned and anxious about you."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1623 of 22 May.
