There are two further searches for Jamie tomorrow at Eglinton County Park 12:30 and 15:30. Now missing for 70 days. Like others have said I haven't seen much info at all in relation to him becoming a dad.
Snapchat is jamycannon but like FB no activity known. His phone was apparently broken but he had it on him at time of going missing- unclear whether it was broken in terms of calling capacity but could access wifi or was completely broken- presumably there must have been something usefulness for him to carry it.
Interesting. Eglinton is next door to me. Haven't heard much about the case in recent weeks. Lots of posters up. Are they going to search the park? I wonder if there is a connection.
Oh that is really sad.
Leanne also spoke to the BBC about Jamie's last recorded movements and the reasons for the lack of footage since: "The last time he was seen was about half an hour after he left the house that morning [on May 22]. I think this is an error and should read May 20th. May 22nd is when he was reported missing
"He was on his way to college. That was the last sighting, he hasn't been picked up anywhere since.
"The tapes for the supermarkets nearby were looped over by the time the police got to them. We will never know if he got into a car.
It must be so devastating for the family and loved ones knowing that footage did exist which could have given them a lead to go on. It serves as a reminder to everyone the importance of obtaining as much cctv in the area as fast as possible - but I imagine there's difficulties with doing that, with regards to data protection, even Police have to officially request it from the owner don't they, and it's probably not a quick process. You're probably more likely to get cctv without all the red tape from residents private cameras or local community type shops rather than big companies. Even if they just film the footage with their phone before it's wiped and save it until the official request comes in, but in a big company you'd probably get in trouble for that.
"He hasn't turned his bank card, his phone hasn't been pinged, it was broken and his sim card wasn't put into a new phone."
